Dick Knight kidnapped my family and said i would only see them again if i went to the Theatre of Trees. I then got addicted to the half time food available and it escolated from there really.

My local team, not gonna support ManU now am I :shootself

Sadly and outrageously, i found myself once doing that as a glory hunting child.

Fortunately, my Dad finally took me to my first Albion game (a 4-0 reverse to Darlington at Pissfield), i lloved it (despite the fact we were shit!). After getting to Withdean a handful of times the following season, i was hooked, and that was that

I was taken to a game as an end of season trip for our football team in '91 by Sammy Nelson as his son was a good friend of mine. 0-0 vs Milwall. Then the next game was the sit in game vs Southend.

I went to school with both the Nelson boys....

Was taken to the Goldstone by a mate's parents in 1987 - 2-1 down 5 mins to go asked why everyone was leaving... Gary Nelson and Kevin Bremner both scored to leave the Albion with a 3-2 victory and a fan for life!!

I know it is a Brighton thread, but the reason I supported Leeds, was due to the fact they were the first team I ever went to see play against Derby and they won 3 0. It was their first season back in the top flight. Super Carl Shutt netted twice. Ever since then I've supported them, through thick and thin.

Saying that if Derby had won, I'd probably have supported them. God forbid.

Because I was always so happy as a child and often wondered what it would feel like to be depressed. So thought I'd support the Albion....and hey presto, problem solved.

Now I know !!!

First ever footy match was Reading v Bournemouth at Elm Park in 1977, aged five. Was bored shitless.

Moved to Brighton in 1980, next football match was in 1981, Albion v Liverpool. Hooked ever since, but not lived in Brighton since 1983. It's in the blood I tell thee.
