BBC transfer page posting Caicedo missed training on Monday. Conveniently omitting it was a recovery day following the match the day before.

Would he not get his injury treated ?

The situation is in danger of turning into something of a circus for Albion. The player clearly doesn't want to be at the club, Bloom has allegedly given his word the lad can leave, Chelsea have offered a more than reasonable amount, and yet still the club are dragging this out to a very painful conclusion. This farce is all on the Brighton board. Nobody else to blame.

One thing is for sure, this will alert every single promising young player and their respective agent on how Bloom intends to operate moving forward. In future, Bloom might find he's having significantly more difficultly in enticing wunderkinder to the South Coast, given the choice, in light of how Moises Caicedo has been treated. He's playing poker with Brighton's future for the sake of ~£20m and it's a dangerous game. A very dangerous game indeed.
Oh dear - you really don't get it do you?

We have in Bloom a chairman who is also a fan - you wouldn't know how that feels having only had in recent years a Russian who used stolen dirty money to finance Chelsea and now the clueless Todd Boehly (see the January transfer window) who is playing a glorified version of Football Manager - and is now trying to bring in help as he knows he's way out of his depth.

Young talented players come to Brighton exactly because they DO see a pathway to bigger clubs (see Evan Ferguson's recent interview)
Bloom won't stand in any player's way - provided the buying club meets his valuation of said player (see Ben White, Yves Bissouma etc.)

Perhaps Caicedo's agent should have insisted on a trigger clause when Moises signed a new 4 year deal in January?

It's not a dangerous game at all - Bloom will sell - on his terms - terms which ensure the future of the club is secure.

Also, this crap from Chelsea fans like Gordon Celery saying it will put off young players coming to the Albion is such BS it's untrue.

Caicedo is the ONLY player out of all those sold we've played real hard ball with as arguably he is the best and most valuable asset we have had as a club. White, Cucu, Trossard, Maupay, Bissouma, MaCallister, and our whole management team from last year all went on to other clubs relatively seamlessly.

Trying to say this one situation would deter other youngsters from coming to us just spouts of jealousy from the Chavs at Chelsea, as we will give the kids a chance whereas they rarely ever do.

If true, this is interesting. Very strange to leave the country so close to the start of the season, unless he is over there to speak face to face with a potential target?

Teun Koopmeiners?
Maxime Lopez?
Davide Frattesi?
He's lining up a new club. Negotiations ongoing but will be tied up by Friday. Fed up because Caicedo and Mitoma are leaving. Here we go!

One of our own posters a few pages back said that they were in training yesterday, as his friend was there with their child.

Worthing
The funny thing with all this is that if/when they get him their fans will say “hahahaha. We won. Get over it” when on reality two parties eventually agree a price and we have made tens of millions profit and they get a brilliant player.
Which would be like me going into Tesco and haggling on 4 pints of milk priced at £1.55, eventually paying the £1.55 and then laughing at the cashier.

David Weir on Sky Sports news now 'live' said no bid thats acceptable to BHA from any club.
Caicedo remains a BHA player

edit.....on Kudos nothing to report .......very diplomatic.
I guess that is exactly what you would expect to hear in a statement from the club. Obviously though it doesn’t tell us where Caicedo’s head is currently.

No, he isn't. I mentioned this earlier in this thread. Leeds were adamant they were going to buy Ben White for £28M. Brighton played hard ball even when they hit £30M.
He signed a new contract, played with us for another year and then went to Arsenal for £50m without any fuss.
