Exactly. It's not so much worrying about Russia rather than Putin.
For the record if Russia do implement an imperialistic policy and succeed in taking over the world, i would like it noted i was always in favour of our Big Bear Overlords.

The report (which may not be accurate) says 'if they are endangered by them', which doesn't mean they need to be shot at.Only if they are fired at

Perhaps a missile radar lock being detected would be enough, rather than waiting for the missile to actually be fired. The report (which may not be accurate) says 'if they are endangered by them', which doesn't mean they need to be shot at.
Yeah I'm only saying what that link said, I don't attach any weight to a tabloid report.Fair enough. I found "if they are shot at" in another article which I cannot find right now.
Have the Russians definitely contacted the UK?:Russia aren't happy about the tabloid reports

Anyway, the RAF is not operating in Syria, just Iraq, so in theory this is all academic.
I wouldn't fancy our chances in a dog fight with Russia anyway. Locking a missile onto Russian 21st Century fighter jets would be a tough ask for a our 25 year old aircraft.

Have the Russians definitely contacted the UK?:
"The diplomatic note was delivered by Russian Ambassador to the UK Aleksandr Yakovenko."
I imagine we'd get pretty quick back up from the F22 Raptors, which moved to Europe recently, if things really kicked off.
