Definitely maybe was the best, proper Oasis, Whats the story was for everyone who wanted to jump on the band wagon.

Both quality albums and probably the two most played albums on my system too...

somehow when i posted my fave album I knew this would turn into a Whats the story Vs Defo mabye, debate

when the whole Blur Vs Oasis thing started i was in the Blur Camp, i thought Parklife was better than Defo ,Mabye.

once "Whats the story" came out i switched sides,

although roll with it has to be the worst Oasis song.

Exile on Main Street by the Stones. None of their really famous songs on it but it sums them up from back when they were dangerous, before they turned into caricatures of themselves.

Blood on the tracks is a good shout , whoever said that and that Marvin Gaye album is great too.

Tough question. I find it hard to have just one. Some days I want to jump up and down and make a load of noise. Other days I want to be reflective. Can I choose a few and give you reasons for them all?

Sex Pistols-Never Mind The Bollocks
Not every song was winner but it still sounds damn fine and what a way to kick prog rock into touch all those years ago. I'm listening to it now as it goes.

U2-Unforgettable Fire
The first time I got into a band in a big way and shaped me for a good few years to come (for good or bad). Looking back, it's a very grown up album for a bunch of 23-year olds to have made.

AC/DC-Back In Black
I finally saw AC/DC two years ago and had one of the best times of my life. Bar room rock on a massive scale and for me this is the most complete rock album ever made.

Gene Love Jezebel-Heavenly Bodies
GLJ's flowery Gothic/American Rock hybrid won't be to everyone's taste but from a technical point of view this is one of the best production jobs I've ever heard.

Caroline Lavelle-Spirit
Produced by and co-written by William Orbit in 1995 before all that Madonna bollocks and a beautiful collection of ambient songs. Essentially they're Caroline Lavelle but Orbit's influence and lush production makes this an unmissable album for me.
