Good call Sonic for Georgeous George. I'd forgotten about that. Also please to see plenty of shouts for 'What's Going On'.

Today, I will be mostly adding to my list...

Tapestry - Carol King
Geno - Dexy's Midnight Runners (There, There My Dear is a mod dance classic).
Crystal Night - Attaco Decente (Extremely obscure, but pure quality from the first to last note).
:clap2:

Pills Thrills and Bellyaches - Happy Mondays
Vanishing Point - Primal Scream
Three Feet High... - De La Soul

A Storm in Heaven is by far the best work the Verve came out with, but then I used to be a bit of a shoegazer....

In response to Eddie The Seagull - A-Ha - Hunting High and Low. I have every one of A-Ha's albums and regard them as the most underrated band in the history of " pop " music. They did some wonderfully crafted catchy pop songs but also some powerful tracks on the albums with the wonderful falsetto voice of Morten Harket.

Their revival with 2 recent great albums showed the maturity of their songwriting and should be heared by all.

Going on which albums I consitantly pick out of my collection to listen to, it would be
REM - Automatic For The People
Meatloaf - Bat Out Of Hell

Sorry.

We have the same tastes 80's. I was also thinking of those two fine albums.

Like INXS - Kick and Nirvanna - NeverMind as well.

ELP - Trilogy
Boz Scaggs - Silk Degrees
Queen - Sheer Heart Attack
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Green Day - Dookie
Sparks - Kimono My House
Slade - Sladest
Supertramp - Crisis? What Crisis?
The Beatles - Hard Days Night
Talk Talk - The Party's Over

All so different, but classics in their own way. Haven't heard of Boz Scaggs? On that album was his own rendition of We're All Alone (he wrote it) which was a massive hit for a female singer in the late seventies. Although the hit was very good, his version was much better.

Don't know any Louis Armstrong albums but every song of his I ever heard was a classic. 'What a Wonderful World' is just the tops. Just listen to the words!

Boz is excellent, although I maybe preferred 'Middleman.' Great voice.

A few people have listed Rumours by Fleetwood Mac. I would have agreed if they had left Silver Springs on there. What a crime to leave it off - an absolute classic. Was B-side to Go Your Own Way though, but scant compensation.
