What does this mean for LYNCH?

I would welcome Lynch back, he's an asset to this club and his stint at Forest will have given him more experience against better players. I'm sure he would feel happier here under Slades excellent man management (than he did with Adams).

Lynch can f*** off. Cant forgive him for refusing to play, or have you all forgotten?

You dont wanna play when your picked then your not playing anywhen else in my book.

But he is miles better than virgo. Although virgs is better in the air. he is a clown with his feet and decision making is questionable

If he did come back, it's likely he would just see out his contract and then leave for free.

Lynch was out of the team on merit at the start of the season, Hawkins had played well in pre-season and Lynch had been out injured, his reaction to being left out was not of someone who wants to play for the team but someone who thinks he is better than league 1 and wants to move. (maybe influenced by his agent) He would be unsettled if he wasn't playing and that could then also disrupt the rest of the squad.

Don't think Adams man management had anything to do with it, It was Lynch believing the hype about him, that he would be a Premiership player soon, but as no-one had come in for him, to be out of the team meant that a move was even less likely so he engineered a move.

One of the big differences in recent weeks has been that our back line has been much more solid and less error-prone, and the Virgo-Elphick partnership has been key to this. They are both big, strong, commanding centre-halves, good in the air, and that's what you need in League 1 - even if they don't play sexy football every week. For what it's worth, I'd keep Virgo as captain next year and given form and fitness, keep the pair of them together.

Lynch has bags of ability but he was worth about a goal every other game to our opponents. If we can get 250-300k for him from Forest we should bite their hands off.

My brother saw him out clubbing in Eastbourne last night, as he spoke to him, he should've asked him if he was going to stay or not :lolol:

Virgo is a far more accomplished centre back than Lynch.

Walt Jabsco lambasted the breaking up of the sound Lynch Elphick partnership last year, yet now he vindicates the breaking up of the sound Virgo Elphick partnership! Comical.

so your all assuming that whing will be here next season?

He's out of contract and i can see a championship club nabbing him.

Love the way people keep harping back to the Forest game and one mistake, he can't have been that bad in that game otherwise Forest wouldn't have wanted to sign him for the league above. Get over it, Slade rates him and if he can convince him to come back then he can only improve our squad he is a quality young defender who formed a solid centre back partnership in a strong defence last season

If he is happy to sit in the bench and be cover then fine (which we all know he wont be). Virgo and Elphick are better CBs than Lynch and McNulty is a much better LB.

If i was Slade I'd make sure I got Lynch back and I would start him week in week out.

I am not convinced he is a better centre back than Virgo or Elphick but I think Elphick and Virgo are too similar. They have done well so far together but they are both slower than Lynch and are both hoofers.

Lynch alongside either play will be the stronger partnership I think.

Even if Slade decides Elphick and Virgo works better, not many league one teams will have as good a defender waiting on the bench.

It means we won't have to waste money on buying a back up left back also.

I think we should, would give Bennett good competition for it next season, he's got better and better and will get better if he stays here under Davies' guidance.

Also, he's one of the best crosser of the ball I've seen at Forest for a very long time, his crossing is world class, pinpoints it and work between him and the strikers in pre-season could really cause an enormous threat next season, because his crossing is amazing.

Sign the lad if he's not too expensive, I would rate him around £300,000.
Thats what the forest fans think of him. Very mixed views

Talking to two oldish diehard Stockport supporters on Saturday night. Jim McNulty's best position is at centre back, just behind the others where he tidies up what they may miss.
They were full of praise for the albion fans.
Personally I would try and get hold of their left back, as everything on Saturday went through him.

I think that Slade needs to evaluate Lynch before a decision is made on selling him to Forest. He could have a future here.
