You see, that's exactly my point. I have absolutely NO issue with the vet having to call that out. I'm angling for one of those long, impressive names that the breeders at Crufts give their dogs, like "Cholmondley Galactica Bohemian Rhapsody IV, known to his owner as Dave".

I might just stick pins in a dictionary (or, the Complete Works of Shakespeare) and see what I get.
I have an Oxford English Dictionary to hand, give me however many (page) numbers between 1 & 2054, and we'll see what you can randomly get.
If you want to break it down further each page has 3 columns and about 20 words per column.

This is a great plan. Worked just fine for Jamie Oliver when he named his kids, so it's good enough for me

You've got to remember the vet will have to call the pets name across the waiting room.

When I first met my wife she had two cats. One was known as "Mischief" in public for this very reason but, to a small select band of us it had the nickname Little F:censored:er

Indy for short

I once shared a house with two cats who were called Prakriti and Purusha. They were Hindus.

My mum had a Jewish cat called Miriam.

Whatever you do, when you choose a pet, avoid fundamentalists. They can only be troublesome.

How did you know it was Jewish? Did it observe Shabbat?

Used to know a lad whose family had a 3 legged rescue cat called Tripod.

Not that I'm advocating dismemberment or anything.
