It originally sold out at 216+ points, so any additional tickets will only be available to that tier and above
I'm aware that's how it works, and I can see it says it sold out at 216+ points. But this wasn't listed as sold out until 9 am sharp the day it should have gone on sale to all STHs and those extra tickets became available shortly after 9 am - I wouldn't have pointed it out otherwise

The only thing I can think that happend was the the tickets had sold and it was only wheelchair available

That's a shame, the discount is valid for tickets booked up to the 21st Dec but, as you say, the discount needed to be applied for before the 18th as that is when the emails with the code were sent out.
I’m puzzled but appreciate it’s probably just me.

I got my email yesterday at 14.46 - there is no mention I can see on my email about a deadline for buying the ticket - only that it must relate to travel by 21/12. Where is the deadline bit? And if it was at 10am it was impossible to meet it???

My other problem is when/where you get the chance to apply the code?? I can’t see where I enter any code. I’ve used Trainline lots of times but have never had the luxury of a discount code to apply before😊

Apologies if I’m being intensely stupid which is entirely possible

Agree, once you have the code then you have up until the 21st to book the travel (it doesn't even say on the email that the travel has to be on the 21st Dec!). I think the deadline of 10am referred to related to actually applying to get the code in the first place (although I stand to be corrected!).

Thats correct. I made the assumption deadlines are 2359 on the mentioned day.
Didn't read the small print.

Thanks both so my first prob doesn’t exist, great - I‘ll have another look where to apply the code but if you know, Drew, please advise. I looked on the q and a about how to contact anyone but that looks similarly baffling to me - it looked like how you query something AFTER you buy a ticket!

I’m getting older every day!

Did you still get the link despite only just receiving the email after the deadline?
I use train line a lot, think applying code is the last thing before purchase.

Really annoyed about this, why the f*** would you have a cut off to get a code, over a month before the game.

It's only about 3 quid for me but given a discount from the Albion is a rare as rocking horse shit it's annoying

ive got the code. at checkout you press add promotional code. might be worth using on a more epxensive train travel if your going somewhere before then or want to buy

100% agree. Think something similar with away shirt discount, having to have a Leicester or Fulham ticket to apply ? Lost in the small print. Apply by 1134am Thursday just gone etc etc.

I'm not sure as I don't usually buy tickets on Trainline but I understand you apply the code on the payment page. Don't forget to include any railcards you currently have. At the end of the day, it's not much of a saving to me as Travelcard with senior railcard is about £14 and with extra discount, about £11.50!

Got my code (as applied before the deadline) and used it with a railcard. Absolute bargain.

The deadline was for requesting the discount code.
