Bridge: You never know, Obviously I want to do well for the club and if the opportunity comes up it might suit me. I have enjoyed every minute here, so I definitely wouldn't say no to that. Everyone that knows me, friends and family, have seen the change in me. Over the last few years it has been difficult but they seem to think that I look like I like football more, so it can't be a bad thing.

It's a good thing to hear and if players like Bridge stay at the club it would also generate interest from other prem quality players to sign We've got such a good set up at the club now I can't believe we have not secured a top striker yet ( obviously it's all about the money money money it's not about the football )

Sounds exactly what he said on Seagulls Player interview after Barnsley match. Trouble is, meeting his wage demands on a permanent contract would be tough. What is good though is that he is enjoying it here which can only be good for his form

The striker will only happen if the right type of player for us according to Gus. After Saturday and the chances we created I am not so sure we require one.

One of the biggest worries for me when he signed was if he would be "Up for it". He's already completely allayed those fears and I've been hugely impressed by him, I didn't realise just how quick he was until the Cardiff game. If there's any chance to keep him on an affordable deal then would be brilliant.

Gus said we still do and I agree. We need to be able to put teams to the sword especially away from home. Hull was the perfect example of that.

5-1 is a great confidence boost but against a poor side destined for relegation on that showing. We will make progress this season IF we start picking up points on the road more often

Still think that's the missing piece of the jigsaw, if CMS/Barnes get's injured/suspended then we don't have an awful lot in reserve, even though I do rate Toby.

Difficult to assess against a poor Barnsley side although if we could only sign one more player I could make an argument for a forward playing central midfielder.

Maybe Oxford would lend us that fella Caskey?

Personally don't see the striker happening and yes if CMS / Barnes get injured it leaves us well short.

As for Bridge, dropping from £95K a week to say £15K a week very unlikely

I doubt we'd be able to keep hold of him, but I bet Man City would be more than happy to get him off their books and I doubt money is that critical to him anymore. I've got to say I'm surprised about how he's settled in, I thought he would be a bit of a billy big bollocks and put in minimal effort but he and Bruno are an absolute class above and they both provide so much more width.

it's great to see with Bruno & bridge in our side we now have more width than Dawn French

If he continues to improve we will have no chance of keeping him. He already looks like a Premier League player and injuries withstanding will only get better. Grateful that Gus was wise enough to grab him for a year but next season I am pretty certain that we will be outbid by bigger club. Bridge can still play at the top level and even if we go up I can't see us beating off interest. Our only hope is that he wants to stay here and take a massive pay cut, it's not gonna happen is it? I'd say he's possibly the best LB I've seen at the Albion, so I am gonna enjoy watching him whilst he's here.

Would love him to stay but unless we get promoted can't see it happening. Even if we paid him £30k per week, it would alledgedly mean him accepting a £60k a week drop in wages.

I'm not sure money is a big issue to him either. If I'm right he's been on £80K a week for the last 4 years and he seems a fairly sensible bloke so I'm sure he's got all his future needs (pension, properties etc) sorted now. He'll be 33 next season and if that's when his contract expires he won't have anything like that earning power. A good season with us and he might be looking for a 1 year deal and £20K/30K. He'll be just the sort of player a newly promoted club will be looking for which may or may not be us, but if he enjoys his time here he might say bollocks to the Prem, I'm happy enough here and will do another year

True. Also, loan players always politely say they might stay when asked.

C'mon, Wayne. Money isn't everything. You already have enough. Come join us for £15,000 a week. It's more than what most fans earn in six months.
