But they were Scottish not English......or has devolution gone full circle whereby Scotland have now decided to rule us? That said Croydon did kick off when we got knocked out of Euro 2004 by Portugal.....but the scummers certainly arent representative of England as a whole.

I was refering to our nation, because basically we are the same mental animals.

At the last world cup, they had to cancel the big screen at Canary Wharf, because of the fighting, and that was just English fans on their own?

maybe you missed my point I agree with you. I dont think anyone has said that there is any sympathy for these buffoons for not being able to see the screen.

My point was if I was a council planning manager (or whatever title the people who organise these things are at short notice might be), if I was planning on enticing 100 to 200 thousand rangers fans to the city at very short notice with the promise of big screens, beer, and a big party, I'd try and have some redundancy in place for the small matter of a screen not working half an hour before kick off, cos thats an accident waiting to happen
