Whataboutary

I’ve heard racist chanting from Albion fans and they have been immediately called out and told to shut up by others around them.
Colchester away on the terrace and Reading away on the concourse, both happened in the Withdean years.
Not sure I have ever heard anyone shouting about raping anyone at a match.
And you say "Whataboutary"....hilarious. :)

Doing fine, thanks - not interested in what happens to non-autistic fans, in a scenario as described in the OP. but you crack on. :)
You said….. “I’m sure you’ve heard equally vile stuff from people with no excuse other than drink/drugs”
I was giving an example that I had……and they were called out by fellow fans.

If you don’t want my opinion don’t ask me. Odd

Yes, I'm sure they were, and rightly so. However, to be offended by similar words by someone with autism and attach the same level of offence is more than ridiculous....it's actually offensive.
Don't you think?

If that was the case, what do you propose? Euthanasia?
If your kid has a mental health issue that means they have a compulsion to put their hand up a woman's skirt, neither euthanasia, nor giving the the kid free range to cause offense at the football are acceptable. They shouldn't be at the football.

I'm very surprised by your comment - disappointed, too.

I know f all about autism, but I don't think this should be any defence against removal from a football ground if there's proven racism. Otherwise everyone would be claiming it.

Again, it is the the entire party should be removed. I'm totally confident the club will ban them.
Can I suggest you find out before making up your mind ? There are several parents of autistic children on this thread who will be living and breathing it so at the very least it is worth doing your own research to try to understand the issue better. I have some experience teaching in this field. It is a complex issue and a bit of tolerance would do no harm.

OK then. I'm afraid that I am rather cynical and defensive when I hear autism being used as an excuse for bad behaviour. The fact that he could suddenly control himself in the second half suggests a lack of parental/responsible adult control rather than any issues that the lad may have. Autistic people usually love rules so they should make some for him.
I think that is exactly what 99% of the rest of us think. Any kid using racist abuse in front of their parents know it is condoned by their parents.

And some of us have it. I know of at least 3 on NSC.

I’m more shocked and surprised than offended, I wasn’t in that part of the ground and didn’t hear what happened, think it would be wrong to say I’m offended.

I’m sorry if I have hit a nerve with you about your family.

Not being intolerant at all. I just don't buy that it's a genuine reason for the racism and threats which of sexual violence which the op outlined

Oh, I assumed it was your family, rather than mine.
