No you are wrong.

The problem ITV (and any station would have) is the nature of the complaints and where and when they took place. It potentially places any programme the actor is in (unless this cleared up) into quite a different context.

And that's a clearly a commercial issue for them.

If it’s a commercial issue why show it on ITV hub.....?

Am I correct in saying the last episode will be on ITV Hub until Sunday ? We were going to watch episode 1 last night but didn’t have time. It will have to be a Viewpoint binge to take in all 5 episodes by Sunday.
As to the Guardian article; I haven’t read it and have no interest. Actors are just court jesters and I have no interest in theist lives (ditto footballers). If he has broken the law he will be punished but in the meantime I am going to watch a decent tv drama.

No. They are human beings and deserve due process when called out in a newspaper.

Remember that Stains manager some years ago? Had to leave football because of public allegations of abuse. When the case came to court the accusers melted away into the night. But the man's career was over. And his income etc.

And not that I have time for him, Cliff Richard? ???

And one I do have time for, Paul Gambaccini? The man has been ruined.

This should have been dealt with off the grid, surely? If the bloke is innocent he's still ****ed now. That's not justice.

Sounds like political correctness to me.

Bloody political correctness, having a problem with some trifling nonsense like *checks notes* allegations of sexual harassment and bullying

Judging by the 'comedy' posts on this thread I suspect some* think he's a black bloke so he's obviously always 'at it'.

Just my opinion of course. Other opinions are available

*You should be ashamed of yourselves.

The key word is “allegations”, as you’ve just stated.

I’m not minimising the seriousness of sexual harassment and bullying by any means. I’m just not keen on the rush to judgement by the kangaroo court of public opinion.

Several innocent people’s lives were ruined by the aftermath of the police inquiries post-Saville.

I’ve no idea if NC is guilty and neither have you....!

Because On Demand services are treated a bit differently under regulations and generally any way in terms of "compliance" issues.

It's probably a bit old fashioned thinking in a multi channel world, but YOU make an active decision to watch a VOD programme. In a linear television, the decision when you watch it is also in the hands of the broadcaster if you happen to have ITV on.

I don't particularly agree with that, but I understand why the decision was made.

My point? You sought to make unspecified accusations of racism when there had been none whatsoever, why?

No I didn't.

I was being unpleasant to people laughing at the plight of this unconvicted actor.

Yes you did, pointless denying it, it's there in black and white, 'I suspect some think he's a black bloke so he's obviously always at it' couldn't be more accusatory if it tried.

You’re clearly much better informed on the regulatory environment than I am but I don’t really see why ITV couldn’t pull the programme on all its outlets if they felt it was inappropriate?

Strongly suspect it was to try to mollify both sides of the fence by pulling it on the “linear” channel but allowing it to be shown on the hub instead.

Elements of inequality here, surely, as you presumably need a smart TV/device to watch on the ITV hub?

Sorry but I can't take seriously people who can't type carefully or punctuate. It reeks of an unformed mind. Happy to put you on ignore with the other pillocks
