no need to get picky over this subject , the FACTS are UKIP IS A PARTY THAT IS ATTRACTING a lot of interest from the electorate , IF YOU WANT TO DISMISS THAT FAIR DO'S but you can't deny the FACTS ,anyone who does is a clown in my books and in denial, ask yourself ,what is it that people find appealing about UKIP that has given them the confidence to vote for them ???

DR

I'd imagine its the fact that the media gave them far more of a platform than they have allowed the National Front, BNP or Operation Whitestorm and because of that embedded racism under the auspices of patriotism finally had a standard to march behind that could not be castigated against as officially UKIP only had one policy which was to offer a referendum on leaving the EU.

Very true, and when those angry old white working class halfwits were in their late teens and twenties most of them were no doubt fighting for this country's survival in the face of a German dominated european continent, who were in league with fascist allies in France, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Spain, Italy, Romania, Finland Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia et al.

They can no doubt remember the prospect of the UK's independence being crushed by the whims of unelected europeans making decisions on every aspect of their lives, from the colonisation of their cities and towns by the descendants of their fascist enemies, to imprisonment for using the wrong weights and measures and worst of all the imposition of shit light bulbs and vacum cleaners.

Little wonder they are in revolt.......................especially when people like you smear shit on their sacrifice because they have the temerity to want to create change through democracy.

This is great proof of the halfwits that gravitate around UKIP. Not the brave folks over 85 who were actually there, no, the idiots using it as political collateral 70 years later.

It can be looked at in a very simplistic way.

People are dissolutioned with a political elite that is imposing ( and no matter who gets in) and will continue to impose austerity measures to reign in the debt; workers have had precious little in teh way of pay rises; those in work are uncertain that they will be in work in teh long term; workers are more and more being forced to accept zero hour contracts with no job security attached; the young of the country cannot get jobs; the percieved "we are all in this together" is not helped by large pay rises and bonusses still given out to workers in the financial sector ( not all mind you); the cutting of taxes for the very rich.

Therefore what do people do in this circumstance, they look for entitlement ( I demand a job, I demand first class healthcare, I demand to be British in my own country) and they look for blame. Immigration is seen as a easy target..."they are different" " They dont fit in" " they dont appreciate or follow our culture" " they take all the jobs" " they buy up all the houses" " they take over areas" " they are all suicide bombers who will kill us all one day"

Along comes Nigel Farridge...." I understand you, I feel your pain, I will cut immegration, work for British workers, I will get out of Europe and stop their laws taking precendent, I will be everything teh Tories and Labour are not".

So the people look at what he is saying and vote for him.

The turnout in these two by elections was around the 30% mark. I suggest that the people who would normally vote in teh GE didnt bother as they either thought their party would get in, ie labour in eth North, or the guy in Kent/Essex was a good local MP so they voted for him. I think come the GE, people will revert to type and it will be a close run thing with teh libs holding the balance of power.

Wouldn't it be facinating if there was no overall majority and UKIP help the balance like the Libs do now. I wonder whose bed Farridge would sleep in then? Would he work with Cameron or Milliband? I think that the labour have more to worry about than tories as I cant see the UKIP working with Milliband at all.

Douglas Carswell lives I a £1M flat. He claimed £32,000 in expenses one year and a record breaking £39,400 the next plus he was involved in house flipping.

I'm fully aware of how many times and in what threads I have posted it. I was curious to see if any one thought anything of it but no, just a typically idiotic reply from you.

Have to admit he is a greedy arse for doing that. He did that whilst under the misguidance of the Tories though. Now he is a member of UKIP, he will never do it again.

And welcome to the quality of political debate in Britain, a load of sound and fury arguing over whether foreigners or the poor are ruining our lives. Scapegoats getting the blame for all our ills whilst the sharp suited sharks with all the power and all the money continue to get everyone to do their bidding because people are too afraid to lose what little they actually have at the moment.

UKIP are a joke party, it's blindingly obvious to anyone that do not have any solution to the problems faced by our, or indeed any other country. I agree that they connect with the concerns with elements of the electorate, but that is only because those people are not pointing the finger at those really responsible of their plight. The tories don't give a shit either way and the labour party sold it's soul long ago they haven idea what they stand for anymore.

British politics is shit at the moment as it is full of morons or spineless belief-free goons. This just what the corporations and the money want. The plebs fighting amongst themselves whilst they enrich themselves at our expense.

But putting that aside, what you are telling me is that all they really want is to 'protect' us from EU-qualified foreigners taking our resources and jobs?

And yet the UKIP leader pays a salary to his German wife, instead of an English employee?

I seem to have missed your response to this Westdene Seagull
