I do find it staggering, if true, that it he States funds the WHO with 10 times more money than China, especially given that a number of these respiratory outbreaks seem to stem from there.

America has been bankrolled most global bodies due to their wealth. But China are taking the p, they’ve been an economic superpower for a long time now, with an incredible balance of payments surplus. The world always seems scared of upsetting their sensitivities.

On the WHO website it claims contributions are assessed according to wealth and population, along with bizzarely bank account details for each country to pay into alongside what to put on their BACS payment. According to Forbes the USA pays approximately 4 times more to the WHO than China, we pay in more than a third of what China does.

It’s always worth watching this on CNN if you have it. Within a second of a Trump lie, they have a caption at the bottom that refutes them with a telling fact.

For example, when Trump boasted that he’s unilaterally closed US borders with China very early on, whilst Europe fatally dithered .... CNN revealed that 40,000 passengers still entered the US from China post his ‘ban’.

WHO funding is $4.4bn.

USA puts about $400m in.

Much of the funding is from private companies and charitable trusts. Bill Gates pays about as much as the US government.

They'll be ok for money.

It's good.

That's why he hates CNN.

"Fake news!"

Are China still playing the Second or Third World card, decades too late. Whilst they dominate global commerce, in a country with 4.4m millionaires.

Unbelievably, Trump is not accurate in that assessment of 10 times, unlike him to exaggerate for effect though, so I guess it must have just been a slip of the tongue.

Could this latest 'decision', which made headline news even in the UK, in seconds, despite it not amounting to a hill of beans, possibly be a dog whistle manouvre to refocus the minds of the more fair-weather elements of his support in election year? Could it? Could it, though?

I'd say he's lost it, but it would be stretching to say he ever had it.

1000s of US citizens dying each day, **** knows how many losing their jobs, and the president stands on a stage and reads a list of company names.

Now the attack on WHO. A very long list of charges.

In January and February, Trump and his administration were desperate to find out the facts in Chain-a, but the WHO were in cahoots with Chain-a.

Can’t stand Trump, but the WHO have come out of this poorly this entire episode, it appears.

And yet the ****ing orange shitgibbon tweeted this on January 24th:-

Another bonkers press conference. And no questions from the floor. He just trashed the WHO, and read out a long list of every CEO of every US quoted company.

Desperately scrambling for scapegoats- Obama, China, the WHO, Mark Owen, the media, state governors. Anyone but him.
To be fair, Take That are pretty shit and Mark Owen has been stealing a living for years, the lisping dwarf.

It was a bit odd even then, Trump said even before the election that he considered China "currency manipulator" (which could be true tbf) and they obviously dont have the best of relations (which by the day seriously indicates that the Russia-Trump connection is horseshit since Russia and China are allies... but thats a different story).

Anyway, I'm thinking this tweet could have been a case of China saying "suck my dick and I'll give you the genome sequence".
