The RMT are paid to get their members better T&CS and as far as I know they usually do. In fact it wasn’t too long ago Tory Boy [MENTION=35289]Baker lite[/MENTION] was bragging about his train driver’s salary and how the unions benefited him.

The unions are paid to represent the workers and the RMT and Aslef do a bloody good job and I support them.

But perhaps you are unaware that the government is preventing the companies from reaching a successful negotiated settlement with the rail unions. So what recourse do workers have if 'reasonable negotiation' is not possible?

Indeed. A neighbour of mine is a right wing Tory who works at Gatwick Airport on security, he is phenomally well paid for the job that he does, isn't very good at it, and from what l can gather, relies on his union for keeping him in employment.
He really can't understand the irony of it.

Why does CP create parking issues but TH doesn't?
I thought trains will still be running on Southern and Thameslink except Gatwick express so it will just be more limited crowded on the day?
The Uni car parks weren't available for the Palace match - they are for the Spurs game.

The club have put on games before when there have been limited or no trains .
It’s a mix of extra Park and Rides and dozens of free coaches replacing Lewes/Falmer and Brighton/Falmer. And maybe elsewhere . if they’re confident enough to say the game won’t be moved, they’re presumably confident to be far advanced with plans like that. Won’t be enough for some on here of course ha ha.

Is there an official map anywhere of what the no parking zone around the Amex is? I'm assuming areas like Coldean are a no go but Hollingdean? Portslade? Patcham etc.be useful to know

You can't park anywhere it says 'permit holders only' unless you have a permit. Coldean & Moulsecoombe have matchday parking 'permit holders only'. You'd have to look on the council website to find out the parking zones. I don't think the club will put out a map of where to park for free as it may p'**s off the residents in those areas!
Having seen Lynch in action, you’re really going to have to try harder than this.
