On the plus side, people that supposedly believe everthing they read in the right wing press ( have a different opinion for possibly valid reasons?) are very unlikely to end up spying for foreign powers whereas patronising ***** in the UK 'academic' community who have more contempt for the average British voter than any Bullingdon Tory will always be prime recriutment targets for the KGB/FSB ......

Think you'll find that it's today's Tories like Boris Johnson, and Right-wing Brexiters like Farage, who are funded by the Russians, the latter wanting to destabilise and break-up Europe for their own expansionist objectives.

You really are a dumb Right-wing tool.

All the serious problems facing us today, and you're worried about 'Woke' :tosser:

Yet it was a Bullingdon Tory who put the son of a KGB agent right into the centre of our ‘democratic’ Parliament.
Friends of Russia, indeed. Is Carrie his wife, or his minder?

Banks won the costs of his court case, not damages.

Accurate as ever TB ..

The devil is in the detail. She repaid the costs that were paid to her, and one third of Banks' costs in the Court of Appeal. There was a metaphorical cheque.

Whilst several supporters maintained that Cadwalladr had been vindicated after Banks brought a defamation claim against her, it is evident that she is indeed the unsuccessful party. Cadwalladr, after the Court of Appeal allowed Banks’ appeal in Banks v Cadwalladr, is now to pay £35,000 in damages and 60 per cent of Banks’ costs in the High Court. She is to repay the costs that were paid to her following Steyn J’s High Court judgment and to pay one third of Banks’ costs in the Court of Appeal. The Costs Order from the Court of Appeal therefore makes it unequivocal, if it was not already: Cadwalladr will be writing the (metaphorical) cheque at the end of the case.

Contractors told about legionella on day asylum seekers boarded barge

Dorset council says it flagged test results about potentially deadly bacteria on Monday, but evacuation didn’t take place until four days later…..

“The asylum seekers were the first to take showers on the barge after a considerable time during which it had not been used, completely unaware that they were at risk of inhaling the potentially lethal bacteria”.

Mad Nad has finally finished her resignation letter.

...not the normal 'spend more time with my family' stuff.

Can they get the by-election out of the way before the party conference?

A prime recruitment target for foreign powers would include people who always side with external institutions/powers over the democratically elected government of their own country... knock knock

You mean like Boris Johnson? Or Nadine Dorries? Or Jacob Rees-Mogg?

Nadine Dorries my word.

Struggling to remember a worse MP in my lifetime.

How on earth did she ever get a cabinet post ?

There is much video out there her detailing her abject uselessness I can't be bothered to post it.

My personal favourite being when cited Channel Five as a successful privatisation.

Channel Five of course in its history being as publicly owned as The Sun.

Should never have been anywhere near public office and is on another planet is she thought she deserved a position in the House of Lords.

we, have an undemocratic failed politicical system

We are governed by the media, Big money / the big corps fronted by the Tufton street propaganda machine to ensure this country is a plutocracy. Read this arrticle which explains how government and big business are entwined, even explaining how Liz Truss was basically their employee with instructions to deliberately destroy the economy, it was planned so they would profit and push more people into poverty and hardship. Just my opinion but I think she left so quickly because she was just there to do that 1 job and get out.

They shat themselves when Corbyn was within inches of power and knowing thier Tory mates will be gone in 2024 hey have made sure they got a right wing Labour leader who will continue to be a puppet to the plutocrats. Nothing will change under Labour.
