Rishi Sunak faces conflict of interest row over India-UK trade deal: Report

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak finds himself embroiled in a new conflict of interest row ahead of his visit to India for the G20 summit next month over allegations that his family would financially benefit from a post-Brexit trade deal, which is currently being negotiated by the two countries.

Since this year, both India and the UK have been negotiating to implement a free-trade deal. Trade experts and parliamentarians have raised concerns over potential "transparency" issues related to Sunak's wife Akshata Murty's shareholdings -- worth nearly ã500 million -- in Infosys, the Bengaluru-based IT company founded by her father NR Narayana Murthy.

If you can bother to skim through some of the abject awfulness of this select committee

Dorries claims that Channel Four should be looked at because it is publicly funded which of course it isn't. This is a well known interchange on social media, but I've never seen the fuller exchange.

When it is pointed out to here this is clearly bollocks, she responds later that what she meant is that Channel Four receives money from the public. You know in the way KFC receives money from the public when you buy a bargain bucket.

As an individual she neatly demonstrates the internal destruction and dysfunctionality of the Conservative party as we know it. I don't like the analogy usually but it is "Trumpian".

Annoyed by their news coverage, try to sell it off. Send in an absolute moron to do it. They don't need to lie, just choose someone completely devoid of any understanding of their brief. If they clearly have narcissistic tendencies that's a bonus too.

Quite simply the worst politician in my lifetime. How on earth did this chancer get any where near a cabinet post ?

Claiming that 96% of respondents to a public consultation supported Channel 4 privatisation.

Whilst it was actually 96% opposed. This was a cabinet minister.....

Clapham Gull makes a convincing case, but I still don't think Nads plummeted the depths that Failing Grayling did, let alone the utter carcrash that was Gavin Williamson as, get this, Education Secretary. Collectively, it illustrates the contempt that lot show to the country they claim to value so highly.

The answer is Boris Johnson. The primary skill required to serve in his cabinet was the ability to swallow (or at least pretend to swallow) absolutely anything.

Shortest clip I could find of that time she told the truth about the Tory party's priorities.
