By that logic:

a) each British citizen should only be allowed one cause or interest.

b) the citizen should donate all their wealth to that cause or interest.

Not necessarily, you can point out that something resembles something else without saying the end result will be exactly the same. If someone matches Vicente’s run but rather than smashing it off the crossbar they stick it in the top corner are we not allowed to say it resembled Vicente’s run because the end result was different?
