Is it PotG?
Thrifty non-licker
Well done him.marcus rashford's got a bob or two, he said something about food the other day
Are Man Ure impartial, and I don't mean about winning trophies?

No mate. You keep playing the 'self-employed' card when he earns over a mill on one of the highest viewed progs.
Desperate.
I'm sure he'll be more than happy to give it all to the cause then.Gary Lineker is self-employed. This has all been gone over before. He has multiple gigs and business interests. The BBC may well be a lucrative gig, but he has plenty of others, and the BBC can’t afford to make him an employee.
There’s nothing desperate about it ‘mate’, it’s a fact.
The only part of this that matters is that you think his comment is 'empty'. It's fine to disagree but why don't you address his words and show why they are wrong froma historical perspective.I'm sure in a world where the lives of the wealthy with big houses are scrutinised and criticised on a regular basis, then an empty statement from the comfort of your vast and expensive wine cellar must be taken with a pinch of salt.
is the bbc impartial, seems riddled with tory party members, and lots of money slopping around?Well done him.

I couldn’t give a toss how much he earns, it makes absolutely no difference. The fact that he pissed of a small but gobby and easily offended part of the population is a bonus. No mate. You keep playing the 'self-employed' card when he earns over a mill on one of the highest viewed progs.

Anything so people can avoid discussing the actual opinion that they disagree with.So how far does this “everyone at the BBC must be impartial at all times about everything” argument go? Are they banned from voting in those people’s minds? Can they not express a preference for tea or coffee?
So, you're saying that:I couldn’t give a toss how much he earns, it makes absolutely no difference. The fact that he pissed of a small but gobby and easily offended part of the population is a bonus.
let’s face it he could work for free and you’d still whinge.
But only relevant if the original statement (Lineker) intended to imply what then followed would follow now.Hi, history MA with a specialism in Twentieth Century Europe here. Do you seriously think the Germans went from 0 to 100 overnight on this issue? Because if not, your post makes no sense. Literally nobody has claimed the Government is executing a holocaust. What they’re saying is the demonising and “othering” not just of refugees but of all sorts of targets has echoes of the early stages of the process that led to a very dark place.
Which it does. Take it from a historian.
i Understood what he was driving at and so do most others. He hit a nerve and that normally means that there is truth in what he says. But only relevant if the original statement (Lineker) intended to imply what then followed would follow now.
Poor choice of words from Lineker (nothing more) but deliberately used no doubt
If the UK bars a group of people from recourse to the law, as is proposed, that is a massive step in that direction. But only relevant if the original statement (Lineker) intended to imply what then followed would follow now.

Not necessarily, you can point out that something resembles something else without saying the end result will be exactly the same. If someone matches Vicente’s run but rather than smashing it off the crossbar they stick it in the top corner are we not allowed to say it resembled Vicente’s run because the end result was different? But only relevant if the original statement (Lineker) intended to imply what then followed would follow now.

Correct. One of the questions on Jnr's Nazi Germany GCSE history revision the other day was to pick 3 points from a simplified version of Hitlers 25 point plan & give reasons why they would've been voted for & who would've voted for them. I found myself disturbed that I was able to make (in my view) to many direct comparisons to what is happening in politics now.
I may not have mentioned it, but I'm in Austria for a week skiing with few mates and don't have a lot of free time, so try not to say anything too stupid and I'll be back in a few days to help out, before you get carried away and really embarrass yourself ................ ohI'm sure he'll be more than happy to give it all to the cause then.
