Exactly. The office of Prime Minister, the notion of service and the nation need him gone today.

I'm on the wagon at the moment but, if and when it happens, I will have an "exception day". Then I will start hoping that his successor is not quite as useless. Because, if it's Raab or Patel we really are Donald Ducked. Ok

On a separate note, has anyone seen Mouldy Boots ?

Mouldy Boots is presently at a “I’m backing Boris!!!” meeting with Mad Nads, in the last remaining public phonebox in Britain.

There’s plenty of room if anyone wants to join them.

forgive my ignorance, 30p?

He said people who use food banks should learn how to cook. When it was pointed out that people needed to be able to afford to buy ingredients first, he said he could produce meals for a week for an average of 30p a meal.
He got a commercial kitchen with bulk buying ingredients to make 21 meals but, of course nobody wants to eat exactly the same thing 3 times a day for a week, not do they have facilities to bulk cook, nor freezers to store the meals.

Jack Monroe, the bootstrap cook, has produced a great book with cheap but nourishing recipes, and called him out on his nonsense.

You are aware that there have been plenty of Governments lasting less than 5 years ? I voted Tory to safeguard our leaving the EU. That’s my reason for my vote and if we went back in time I would vote exactly the same way for the same reason. It is very easy to understand even if you disagree. For all your jibes though the only party I have ever campaigned for is Labour and I am happy to see them returning to their roots.

Yes you've told us how you campaigned for Labour many many years ago and then saw the light and have been Tory ever since you became older and more mature

At what point did you realise that this superb economic strategist, excellent international negotiator, master of diplomacy and brilliant leader of the UK Government that you decided was the man to take Britain forward into a wonderful Post Brexit new age, had become a proven lying, duplicitous, unscrupulous, self obsessed, deceitful, unprincipled, corrupt, egotistical **** ?

I'm guessing it was some time before Starmer's announcement a couple of days ago :lolol:

Ruth Edwards has resigned as PPS to Alister Jack, the Scottish secretary. In a post on her Facebook page, she says she can no longer serve in a government “whose leadership has turned a blind eye to allegations of sexual assault within its own ranks”.

Tory meltdown incoming...

Johnson called a snap election the last time Parliament tried to block the will of the people. He won a huge majority and might believe he can do it again if Parliament stand in the way of the British people’s will that was exercised two years ago.

I’d be shocked if he resigned. He is more likely to sack the 4 cabinet conspirators.

I was under the impression from a post of yours a few weeks ago that you are now not so sure that leaving the EU was necessarily so important that it would define a voting choice, were the time clock to be rewound. I'm a bit surprised that you now appear to still consider that we are better off having left the EU. We have gained nothing, and have created a running sore in Northern Ireland. You still think this would justify voting for Johnson again if we rewound the clock to the last general election?

Personally I thought that Johnson coming to power was worth it in order to ensure Corbyn ceased to lead Labour. I am happy to confess that I had underestimated the extent to which Johnson is useless. Unlike you I certainly wouldn't unblinkingly (it seems) vote the same way again.

I'm a little surprised and somewhat disappointed, to be honest.

I don’t remember posting anything like that. Perhaps you misunderstood? On nearly every issue my views have always been closer to a traditional Labour view. Leaving the EU is very important me though. Perhaps I was saying that I was no longer worried that Labour would reverse our leaving. This week’s policy shift by Starmer has confirmed that view. As to 2019 if Labour had stood on its current policy and with Starmer as leader they would have got my vote. I don’t see what there is to be disappointed about. Surely not that I disagree with you ?

Apologies. Can’t seem to embed it. But it’s well worth listening to.

forgive my ignorance, 30p?

Lee Anderson. Dreadful chancer of limited intelligence. Formerly Labour but turned Tory to further his career. The 30p Lee moniker came when he was the heartless ******* who patronised food bank users by saying it was perfectly possible to knock up a family meal for 30p.

Johnson is a useful idiot. Every now and then that’s how politics rolls. Keep up.

Apologies. I appear to be confusing my recollections of your views about Brexit with your views about the current government. In my mind John's ascendency and his brutal ripping of the heart of the UK out of the EU are inexorably linked.

Not at all.

They shouldn’t change the rules just because it suits.

They are not parliamentary rules. They are rules of the conservative 1922 committee. They are free to change their rules as they so wish.

The end of PM was as if Big Dog was already fully out of his misery and his owners were looking at who to get as a replacement. Full on discussions of who is best place to take over, when the hustings will be, likely winners etc.
