Yes - fully agree with you. PMQs has certainly evolved from what it was originally intended to be and I'm sure there was a time when it was conducted in quite an honourable fashion, in keeping with the purpose. Now, it just seems to be the opportunity for a bit of badly delivered stand-up and the chance to get some pre-prepared 'lines' on the 6 o'clock news. Every now and then, a devastating and unforeseen blow can be dealt - but more often than not these come from a backbencher.

Agree with that assessment too. I think there will be a devastating blow today, but it won't be unforeseen, as The Saj is making a statement during PMQs. Unfortunately I've got a dull meeting, so won't see it live, but I reckon it'll be sufficiently to the point to make it to the bulletins -- I'm hoping to see a camera trained on the front bench while it happens.

He'll soon be running out of people prepared to replace quitting ministers, given that >75% backbenchers voted 'no confidence.' I can't imagine there is a queue of backbenchers willing to join this government. If he can't field a full team then surely he has to go
