Bring it on. If you're not Ready for Rishi, why not have Liz for Leadership or Back Boris?
As to Johnson, it appears the fairy dust trick on the public no longer works: check out their recent downturn in the polls, which has coincided with the Johnson stench getting wiffier. Ready for Rishi will have a year of sniping, but that'll pale into significance as each month 100,000+ have to find a new mortgage deal. Yet you can still get 9/2 on a Con minority, and 15/2 on a Con majority for the next GE. I will not be punting.

Is that the same Liz Truss whose policies helped cause the crisis in the first place, or a different one of whom I am hitherto unaware?

When it gets to the stage a governing Tory Party is content for a recession to happen you know something is fundamentally wrong.

They are arguably more played out than Labour were under Michael Foot, they need to go back to the drawing board and create a New Conservatism.

He’s got a patchy history in many areas. A rude **** too.
A Google search churns up some interesting behaviour.

The Home Office has published the economic impact assessment for its illegal migration bill. It shows the government thinks it will cost £169,000 per person to send asylum seekers to Rwanda.
Seeing as the Government obviously seem from this to have alot of spare money sloshing about perhaps instead they can give everyone a council tax subsidy to ease the cost of living crisis ?

They also have to see a drop of at least 40% of people attempting the crossing to break even. This is a scandolous waste of public money AGAIN!

Worst government debt stats since 1961 and just think, they saved us from chaos with Ed Milliband.

Precisely. Yesterday I was given several lectures about how unaffordable it would be to increase the minimum wage for public sector workers (teachers and nurses in particular) and people working in the lucrative care home and nursery sectors.

Bollocks.

Apparently, half-decent pay rises for public sector workers would fuel inflation by injecting 'too much' money into the economy - yet the multi-million pound salaries, bonuses and dividends regularly paid to private sector CEOs and shareholders don't case inflation, it seems
