What if that Vaccine was the winner? The outcry that we didn’t do it would have been massive.

There wasn't a vaccine that was 'the winner'. There were a significant number of vaccines that were developed and proven in various countries around the world some of which we had pre-ordered and some of which we hadn't and some of which didn't come to fruition. Whether the decision to spend money on that particular vaccine was well based or not we will never know, unless there is a full investigation into the information that decision was based on.

We do know that a lot of other contract decisions taken at the same time by the same people were certainly not well based and that it's certainly not in their interest to have a full investigation, hence my post above. So who knows

It's not what you expect from the revered party of fiscal probity though.... astonishing amounts of money thrown about on contracts, dodgy gear and vaccine start ups.

It's not the Tory's Brexit. It's the Brexit a majority of Brits voted for, slender majority or otherwise.

Factually incorrect. It wasn't even a majority of those granted a vote, let alone your claim which is that "a majority of Brits voted for" it. It's slightly better than the claim that the majority voted for the Tories in 2019 when, in fact, a clear majority voted for parties advocating a very different stance on Brexit.

So, yes it is their Brexit, despite what you say. It's also the Brexit that those who decided to vote for Brexit need to own. This is for the simple reason that the form of Brexit was never stated on the ballot paper in 2016 so, if you voted for it, you'd be voting for whatever was eventually implemented.

1822?? Really? I thought it was the 1722 Committee...

Haha!

He has revelry been trying to align the morning after pill with abortion. The PM gives him lots of unwarranted power and influence, I’m sure he wouldn’t sacrifice this with a letter to Brady.

I read in The Sunday Times today the Tory government wasted £200m in a non-refundable cancelled order to French biotech company Valneva for a Covid vaccine.

They're just trying their best though/it's not their fault/Jeremy Corbyn/free trade deals with Honduras etc, etc.....

This French vaccine was the one which was to have formed the backbone of the EU’s vaccine response to Covid, the subsequent failure of which caused much crowing by those who it seems had already hedged their bets. Having their cake and eating it, indeed.
