Yesish. Depends how you look at it. It does mean they have more opportunity for bonus points to come.Newcastle is interesting, have they just had a relatively easy set of fixtures?

We could just cut out the middle man and win it ourselves.Plus a top 5 team have to win the FA Cup for 7th to apply and, as it stands, that needs to be Man City/Arsenal (one leaving next week), Spurs (one of our target teams), Man Utd (don't think they'll fade) or, should the unthinkable happen, Liverpool, although they too are a target team to be above.
I've a feeling a team outside the top may win the cup so 6th should be the target.
Palace you meanWill we be able to beat those deep lying defences with 10 men behind the ball? It'll be fun trying, that's for sure.
Great stuff.Did someone question whether we could beat a team with a deep lying defence and 10 men behind the ball?
Remain 15 over but achieving expected points at home is huge for us. Still 5 over Europe. I'm getting a top four vibe...

Oh STOP with this nonsense!
Do we need a top 4 line…..just for giggles obviouslyDid someone question whether we could beat a team with a deep lying defence and 10 men behind the ball?

No! It staying up should always be the first requisite. Should not be changed until mathematically impossible to get relegated.About time we changed the thread title no?
What is the earliest the 'teams that can't catch us' thread has appeared? No! It staying up should always be the first requisite. Should not be changed until mathematically impossible to get relegated.
This IS a wind up right?
Oh blimey that's a wrinkle I hadn't considered. What is the earliest the 'teams that can't catch us' thread has appeared?
Whenever it does appear this season it will be comfortably earlier than any other season. What is the earliest the 'teams that can't catch us' thread has appeared?
The thing is maybe this season will be lower than normal. A top 4 tracker could show us as being under but Liverpool, Chelsea and possibly Tottenham from last season’s top 4 won’t make the top 4 this year. So a lower than normal number of points might secure top 4.Do we need a top 4 line…..just for giggles obviously
No, it's fine - and has done us fine since it was first started. First objective will always be to get to 40 points and stay in the division.About time we changed the thread title no?
Is the Newcastle game now TBA cos of the League Cup? Or have i got my wires crossed? That, Spurs and the Fulham game looking like European qualification 6-pointers. Who’d have thought we’d ever say that!Did someone question whether we could beat a team with a deep lying defence and 10 men behind the ball?
