I reckon one more point will do it. Provided that point is against Palace.

Indeed it does.

One more would be nice, but 35 and a reasonable GD will keep us up.

We won't have a reasonable goal difference if we lose 6 on the bounce. Same results as previously against the top four would give us -9 goals right away. Call our goal difference -25 after those games which is certainly not totally unreasonable and it does not look so clever.

For sure not safe, but we need 36 in my view, has been for a couple of months...I might be wrong though...

Do you play a bit like Popper?

If you mean have I got a red card in me, then yes.

If your looking for a position for me in the side then I could give Kayal a run for his money if he would add on another 25 years to make it fair!

3 points at Palarse and a few choruses of "were going, were going up, your not, your not" could make it lively.

3 points below target now - the worst it has been all season. Not the best time to be falling away, but I'm still hopeful we'll crawl over the line (17th place or above, that is, not 40 points!)

Tracker needs updating. No way on earth as much as 40 points will be needed. 38 absolute maximum imo.

3 points down, the lowest of all season, but that means 37 points which I think will be enough (thanks Saints, Swansea and WBA).

How bloody poor were we in that second half today though?!

I would LOVE, absolutely LOVE a win at Palace to put them in it. I fear a draw is as good as we can muster though.

Ps) Palace are 2 points over which highlight how much easier their run in is.

I'd take the draw now if offered!

Not sure we’ll need 37. Stoke need 9 from 5 just to go past us (given GD) assuming we get nothing from 6, so can’t see that. Saints have a run-in as bad, if not worse, than ours, so 7, possibly 8 points from 7 looks a tough ask for them.

A win, or even a draw at Palace and we’ll be alright but Wilf is going to ruin it for us, and we’ll get a bellend infestation on here.

That really highlights how on a knife edge this is. Lose at Palace and and all the others get one unexpected win and we are down. Tense.

Unless WE get an unexpected win, of course...

ALL the others? How likely are all seven teams to get an unexpected win?
Your whole thread is based on 40 points being safety, and it won't be that high this season.
