You've gone for an interview for a job without really knowing what it was (you've guessed, by the look of it), they have asked questions based on what the job actually is, and you've got pissy because the two things aren't one and the same.

I know this thread does not concern me as such, but you are applying for a job as a cleaner but wanted to put across you're ideas. Or do i have that wrong?

Anyway, it wasn't the job you wanted, so get over it and move on. Perhaps read the job description a little more carefully (or at all) the next time. If you're really not sure call them first and ask for some more details.

I would categorise cleaning as a form of assistance, so your main grievance is that the job description (by a 3rd party agency) was not detailed enough. I don't know why you're surprised that your interviewer thought you'd be working for him, isn't it common that the supervisor plays a role in the recruitment process?
