this club - prentious and rude when it comes to prospective employees

It took somebody 12 minutes from the start of this thread to open it, read it, look at the BHA web page for vacancies, copy the job description, return here and paste it up.

I'm not sure you would have passed the interview regardless.

OK, so you applied based on what you read right there, which gives no detail whatsoever on what the role entails, then blame the club because whatever you assumed it was (what was that, by the way?) was wrong?

At the risk of completely jeopardising my prospects to ever work for this club I want to bring to your attention this club has towards treating prospective employees. In my opinion they are insulting and devious but you can draw your own conclusions. I had an interview for the role of a match day assistant. Nothing else disclosed about what it involves, I do my own research which is standard of me. Arrive smart, on time and courteous. Moment I arrive to speak I am am immediately put on a pedal stool. I explain my initial expectations, which is what I think is assisting with the events of matches around the crowd. I was not corrected of this and then questioned about my knowledge of cleaning which I knew pretty well as I've been one in the past. When I then ask what I will be doing they say I will clean after matches. I am sorry but I find this utterly rude to not disclose this in the first place, it's disgraceful. I've been getting auditions and interviews for positions of 15k and I felt like the club are manipulating people to get one over. They were interviewing several prospective employees many whom appeared older and greater experience on me. To ask people to come out for a minimum wage skill is just rude. Frankly if this is how they treat potential new staff god knows how they treat their current staff. I will not be picking up someone's poo in the toilets. No pun intended.

Good grief, you must be absolutely livid. It's a sad day when the club we all know and love (apart from the odd Palace troll) treats people with such contempt, and with such blatant disregard for common decency and courtesy. Will you be boycotting the club and refusing to put money in their pockets until the current regime changes? It all starts from the top you know, employees mirror the leadership and management that they receive. I'm sure you can work out where the buck stops can't you.

I can't believe it's happened at the Albion.

What action will you take?

I don't care I just like people being polite regardless if they have seen 30 people and are bored shitless you give people the benefit of the doubt. If I was late or rude than they had a right to act hostile. Anyway I have other options open. General rule if you're nice to me I am nice to you. Anything else I couldn't give a monkeys about you

This must be the biggest 'own-goal' thread of the season so far, seems as you did not read the job description you imagined what it was for and when you were proved wrong you blamed the club, bit silly really
