Surely there has been a few good bands from Brighton, which I'm sure other people on here will know.

Being the default location pictured on the front page of every tabloid newspaper whenever they want to illustrate to their readers how unseasonably hot/cold/wet it is.

ps Brighton was the home Deryck Carver, the first ever Protestant martyr who was burned at the stake in Lewes in 1555. Oh, & he was also Brighton's first brewer.

Just keep em coming, Ive covered a few of them already, but just seeing if theres any gems out there

Whilst on my adventure preparing to film, I discovered that Brighton Marina is the biggest in the whole of EUROPE.

Brighton Races is the only race track in the country that isnt a circuit (apparently)

Not true about the racecourse Brett. Epsom, Newmarket and Goodwood spring to mind.

At the time of building the marina was the 3rd biggest in the world

The Brighton Speed Trials (aka The Brighton National Speed Trials).

According to Wiki (!), it's commonly held to be the oldest running motor race. The first race was held July 19-22, 1905 after Sir Harry Preston persuaded Brighton town council to tarmac the surface of the road adjacent to the beach between the Palace Pier and Black Rock in order to hold motor racing events. This stretch was renamed Madeira Drive in 1909 and the event is still held there, normally on the 2nd Saturday of September each year.
