In terms of finding a WR, the market doesnt seem that deep, and Vincent Jackson a bit of a headache..

It's basically, V-Jax, Wayne and Garcon, that will draw the attention. Beyond that the WR market is made up of players you hope may have one last season in them, like Randy Moss. Then you drop down to those who may or may not prove to be good, like Braylon Edwards, or Laurent Robinson.

Not a deep list is it.

I'm not expecting huge moves from the jets in free agency as much as I'd love Mario Williams and Nicks,we have to many holes and with the money they'll cost just cant see how we can do it. Whilst it caught me by surprise, giving Sanchez a new deal has giving us a bit more money to play around with. Hopefully we'll get Pouah signed today and then make a play for Jameel McClain especially if we plan on letting Bart Scott go and maybe Laron Landry anything to get rid of Eric Smith.

There seems to be a fair few Skins fans on this thread.
You might want to check out my favourite podcast:-

ESPN 980 - WASHINGTON D.C.

Tony Kornheiser, he of PTI, Washington centric ESPN radio programme.

I've not listened to it yet but today's programme will be RGIII/Skins, heavy with plenty of insight and speculation.

That is especially bad in the 'skins case, as they needed FA to put some weapons around RGIII, both this year and teh next, as they have traded their draft picks away. When Indy drafted Manning, they then went about using 1st Round picks on offensive pieces to give him the best shot possible. Unfortunately, the Skins don't have those picks, and their FA money is now hit quite hard.

Not so bad for the Cowboys, at $10m, which we can spread over 2 seasons, so at $5m in each year, that is only the equivalent of one bad signing that we are carrying in cap space. We've dealt with that often enough in the past.

My mistake I hadn't taken into account March Madness College Basketball.
Which over takes everything.

Well skins don't seem to be too bothered about any possible cap reduction as have gone out and secured Garçon and look like signing Josh Morgan. Will certainly give RGIII someone to throw to.

Im stunned.. $42m with $20m guaranteed for Pierre Garcon.. i thought Allen was supposed to have brough an end to that wild overpaying for FAs type behaviour.. sounds like Uncle Dan is getting impatient again..

It looks like it's Peyton to Denver then!

Wow, I'm amazed. SF seemed to have it all, just can't get my head around why he's taken the Broncos over them.

he'll have a good D there and it'll definitely make them interesting this year!

question now is, where will tebow go?!

But SF he would have had better weather - the cold of Denver will hurt his aching bones - a better defence, and a division that he would have stormed through. A receiving core of Crabtree / Moss / Manningham, thrown to by Manning would have been so much better than SF had last year, to the extent they would have been a short price for a Superbowl appearance IMHO. They are SB ready, just missing a QB, whereas Denver will have to change the style of offense completely from the one being run by Tebow for the last 10 games last season.

Where will Tebow go? My guess is Alex Smith is flying back to SF to sign that deal which has been on teh table for a few weeks now, and Miami will pick the phone up to Tebow.

Wow Denver. I thought Peyton has a poor record playing outside. The Teebow saga will be interesting, America seems to love him, how about the Jets or Dallas...

Tebow will go back to Florida and play for the Jags. Jags need a new QB as Gabbert was pretty woeful last year, TT is still treated like a god in northern Florida and the Jags new owner is already on record as saying he would have signed TT given the opportunity. The only question is whether that can afford him.

whilst i don't think Tebow to the jags will happen, Gabbert has just signed for Miami so the jigsaw pieces may be falling into place... and there is no question they can afford him. they would assume his current contract and his guaranteed money over the next 2 years is pretty close to the league minimum. he's still playing on his rookie contract, don't forget.

personally, i think he'll wind up in New England with Josh McDaniels (who drafted him). i love what Tebow did last year but he's really not a starting calibre NFL quarterback and it might take McDonut and the Hooded One to persuade him that he could have a pretty good career as an occasional 3rd down QB (very occasional if he does end up on the same team as Tom Brady), WR who can run reverses with the option to pass, tight end or even pass catching fullback. i just don't see any teams out there trading for Tebow and making him their starting QB.

Peyton didn't want to play in the NFC. Didn't want to stop Eli getting to the super bowl.

it was garrard that signed for the dolphins from the jags, not gabbert.

either way miami has really made a hash of sorting out their qb...

if i was alex smith i would tell SF to do one, dont think theyve treated him well at all.
