Why Leon will sign for US

Pluses for us

1) He likes Coppell
2) Ben Roberts lives in London, Others live in Portsmouth etc, he could easily commute from London, so location is not a problem. 3) He is ambitious - Now some seem to think this is a QPR plus, but I disagree. If he signs for us, he knows he has a high profile, and we will not stand in his way if / when a big club comes in. QPR are not the limit of his ambitions, I would imagine a return to Chelsea would be top of his list, so which club offers a better staging post ?
4) We have (well documented) a good dressing room.
5) We Will match QPR's wages.
6) He is playing well for us as a hero, or move to a club to start all over agin in the same division without a pre-season to get to know the lads etc.
7) He is Guaranteed a start as a central striker with good delivery, unlike at QPR where he has competition from Furlong and Gallen and Sabin. (He remebers playing out wide at QPR)
8) We are both in the second division and will be until the end of the season.
9) QPR are a direct team, we play with width, as a small striker, what would you prefer.
10) He seems like a nice lad, not motivated by money (i.e. leaving Chelski for first team football).

:clap2: :clap2:

Pluses for QPR

1) Near to Chelsea and London based
2) Bigger / permanent ground
3) Have as good a team as us.
4) ..... errrr help me out......

As I said elsewhere, the sensible decision is us. Coppell, the opportunity to score more than he will at QPR, proven record at nurturing young strikers, just as much of a shop window as QPR, he'll be worshipped, etc etc.

While it's true that Coppell is a good manager capable of bringing out the best in a young player, it's fair to point out that Holloway is no slouch.

Zamora, Cureton, Ellington to name a few will attest to that.

As you say the thread makes no sense, but it doesn't make sense that a guy who has been on loan for seasons is suddenly want by ssomeone else as soon as we want him! Just like it was with Sidwell (Sidwell who? before he played for us)
