Sleaford Mods tonight. Going to be interesting to see them manage a larger stage that is The Dome.

Saxon on Saturday with Fastway and Girlschool in support. Hayseed Dixie in Worthing the week after, and Black Stone Cherry along the way too.

Went to see the Buzzcocks 40th Anniversary gig last week at the Concorde 2, seen them many many times but this was an awesome show, all seemed to be at one with each other the sounded awesome.

First band I went to see, well technically Joy Division were as they were the support and recently saw them at the Eitihad supporting The Stone Roses.

Just seen Minor Victories. Band on at 20:30, finished by 21:30, home at 22:00. Doesn't feel like I've been to a gig. Enjoyable gig though.

Didn't realise they had started gigs again at St Pauls. Previous promoters got a nice mix of acts there.

Gutted but can't get to Hayseed Dixie on 12th as have other commitments.

Gig 2 of my 4-gigs-and-a-festival-in-November program was John Grant. As lovely as ever.

The support were called Arc Iris and musically and visually are best described as Bjork does prog-rock; avant-garde, time changes, crazy outfits and gold capes. Quite bizarre but in a nice way.

How was it?

As Pogue Mahone pointed out most chat is on a separate thread but to summarise it was as expected and I probably won't worry about seeing them again for a while. And yes- reference was made to that famous first visit to Brighton known to some of us as The Best Gig That Never Happened.

A varied three gigs back to back coming up.

First this in Leipzig http://www.audio-invasion.de on Saturday. A veritable mix of performance and visual art at the opera house. Looking forward to the Gawandhausorchester, Alexis Taylor with just a piano, Brand Breuer Frick.
Sunday it's the return on Wand
Monday night, on a whim, decided to get a ticket for Banks and Steelz. I can't say I like Interpol or Wu Tang but the Paul Banks and RZA album is rather good and their live show intrigues me.
