Never heard of him and I’m busy tonight.

However as your post coincided with me looking for something new to listen to while taking the dog out, I searched them on Spotify.
The first song I heard was ‘Set It Free’ The opening is identical to Diagonals by Stereolab so I was instantly hooked. Now got the album on and after only one listen I can tell you this will get me through the summer.

So apologies you haven’t made a sale (I’m disappointed I’m busy) but thank you for bringing them to my attention.
Excellent. Have a quick look at:

I’m a few steps ahead there, I’ve been googling her name all morning and now I’m on my fourth consecutive listen!
Nubya is part of the London jazz scene, which has been really buoyant for at least a decade now. Tomorrow's Warriors has been really influential in this, and I think Nubya played there when growing up. It was actually featured on R4 WatO yesterday, by Ezra Collective.

Of the London jazz scene, I'd strongly recommend Shabaka Hutchings who has featured in various incarnations, of which Sons of Kemet are probably the best. Also Binker & Moses are quite something.

Nice list that, not London but I'd add Ebba Åsman for a slight twist.

Thought they were very good too and crowd well up for it, if a bit noisy through the quieter moments. The latest album is probably their best of the three and Crispy Skin a cracking song. I know the support is a collaborator with Squid but we couldn’t listen to more than 20 mins of her before retreating upstairs to the merch for respite.
Was fortunate enough to see Personal Trainer the night before, also in Chalk. Every now and then you watch a support band you know nothing about and really enjoy. They were called Western Cowboys I think or maybe West Coast. They did tell us on numerous occasion as did PT who invited them back for one last song. Anyway, one to watch out for.
West Side Cowboy? Great Band.

I was at the Birmingham and London gigs. As @jackalbion says, they're called Westside Cowboy and are indeed excellent. Suggested them for this year's Krankfest!

Really enjoyed Nubya Garcia last evening, even if her meandering ramblings between songs were a little varied.

The mix was pretty low, albeit ramped up with some long awaited reverb for the closing and awesome Triumphance.

Lovely stuff.

Yes. I didn’t want to mention her ramblings. She talked about some random stuff when we saw her. Triumphance is an amazing song on record, even better when it’s performed in front of you.

Seems like you had a similar position to me….heres s snap I took.

Love the outfit. Certainly someone I would go and see again.
