Are Labour more corrupt internally than the Tories? Their shenanigans are something to behold

It looks like an affair doesn’t it? Keir Starmer and his voice coach?

Quacks like a duck and all that.

She was in Tier 3 lockdown and travelled to a tier 4 lockdown area on CHRISTMAS EVE???? whilst not being employed by the Labour Party and having carried out previous appointments via zoom calls.

British politics, particularly the main two parties, has been taking the piss out of its electorate for some time. John Penrose, anti corruption champion, married to Dido Harding a good example.
It's all become so incestuous, they become more confident they are so above and smarter than the electorate and what they can get away with. It's just a case of you did this, so we can do that. Anyone who thinks that the Right Honourable Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB KCs Labour are any different is naive in the extreme. Starmer is perhaps the most disingenuous of them all. Including Johnson, it was more obvious what he was about.

How about the non social media, non right wing press and therefore the only source accepted (by some) on NSC…. The Guardian:

A voice coach employed by Keir Starmer during Covid was part of a small team preparing him to give Labour’s formal response to Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal, and needed to be there in person, Downing Street has said.

I'm not saying they didn't meet, I'm saying they weren't having an affair, which I see lots of people (or bots) saying is the case on Twitter.

I’m thinking it is an affair because nothing else seems plausible…. Travelling on Christmas Eve for work !!! How many MPs do we think are ever working on Christmas Eve ?

Anyway I see the police will not be investigating as it was 3 years ago

I can see how certain people may have been essential to the job of talking to people, but surely by his age he ought to be able to speak without help? Did he have a reading coach to help him read the autocue and a toilet coach to help him go to the toilet, or is he old enough to do that by himself?

I'm not sure where you've been since the 70s but all prominent politicians enjoy coaches.

Thatcher's went to the extent of changing her voice completely.

The Truss transformation was quicker than a contestant on Stars In Their Eyes.

Blair's jazz hands and Cameron's (thumb tucked in) non confrontational punch ?

I do wonder about the long term memory and concentration of the general public who lap up and respond to this nonsense.

I'm fine with him having a voice coach, assuming it's his own (or his party's) money he's spending - which in 2020 it presumably was. What is not fine is that his voice coach is such a key worker that he cannot read a single prepared speech without her physically present with him. What use is a man in negotiations if he can't speak in simple sentences witohut a professional to run him through it first?

This voice coach was not an essential worker and should not have travelled to Brighton under the law as it stood. As a man who made so much holier-than-thou fuss about Boris's breaches of regulation, he is such a hypocrite.

Thatchers was organised by Laurence Olivier and she also had her teeth straightened.

No idea who paid for it, but I do know her descendants avoided millions of pounds in inheritance tax because her Belgravia house was registered to an offshore trust.

But that's completely irrelevant and I'm sorry I mentioned it.

Lord Alli failed to declare interests in a tax haven firm. Sorry, completely irrelevant and sorry I mentioned it.

Didn't Tony Benn hide his dosh in a trust (which he regularly criticised) to avoid IHT? They all play games.

I may be missing something, but why would a Barrister require a voice coach?

The role of a barrister can include the following: The ability to communicate with a wide range of people. Determination, stamina, self-motivation and self-discipline. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to express arguments and ideas clearly.

The point is that Margaret Thatcher may have wanted a speech coach, but she did not need that coach to be literally in the room with her to practise every sentence. I reckon that Starmer ought to be able to read from a script to a TV camera (with as many takes as he likes) with his speech trainer communicating on Zoom. I don't see why it is essential to the point of being a key worker that she should be in the same room with him.

What does Starmer do in the House of Commons? He doesn't have his speech trainer in there with him. Does he leave the Chamber for practice before coming back to answer the question?
