For me it's obvious why, it's part of a conveyor belt of controlled news stories and government ideas which are deliberately divisive to keep the country divided and a populist nationalist government relevant, just like the 'no such thing as racism' report, white privelidge in schools etc, we are being constantly drip fed these subjects into our daily lives with a racial or nationalist flavour to it, as part of a controlled divide and rule Government agenda

So reuniting the country in exceptional times is a bad thing?

Perhaps we should bin off the jocks?

I don't mind our wee friends personally and have strong feeling for kirsty Gallacher, as long as they keep the kilts at a reasonable length, we can all get along fine.

Mate, there has been liberal leftie teachers spewing their politics for decades, to brainwash the young and vulnerable. Fortunately when they leave school they get a real perspective of the world and our country, hence the proper drubbing labour and the liberal continue to get.

To unite the country, seems a pretty straight forward thing to do, would you rather we have in fighting?

Great attitude.

Plenty, kids come in every day saying some bloke with sandals on tried saying the government has this or that wrong. Wrong uns and should not be allowed to teach kids. Fingers crossed you do not wear sandals and teach.

Or is it just the bitter ones who shout within their bubble at anything that the government do?

Proof of this, please?

That's fine abuse is what you guys live on and even worse those that encourage abuse with thumbs up.

Any other points on why you would not want to support the country in which you live in?

Well I have marked my line in the sand and I will stand up for our country in times of trouble, perhaps some should hop over the border and join up with our Euro mates oh and...................

Some people think they're really clever
To smash your head against the wall
Then they say "you got it my way"
They really think they know it all
It doesn't make it alright
It doesn't make it alright
It's the worst excuse in the world
And it, it doesn't make it alright

Feck you caught me out on the sandals bit Nev, they used to wear sandals when I was at school. All the rest applies though.

As John McEnroe once said: “you can not be serious”.

We have THE most divisive Prime Minister in my memory, at least, and I’m 68 next month.

The values of tolerance and so on expressed in the song are in no way exhibited by our government and its actions. Hostile environment? Do me a favour.

The country in my view is more divided than ever, and Johnson is not the man to unite it!

I wanted to do my bit and teach the Year 9s the 'Strong Britain Great Nation' song today. But with so much Marxist economics and critical race theory to cover, there just wasn't enough time

Correct. The Tory’s; heartless, profiteering, racist, small minded, petty, lying. But by no means daft. They want the population to be at odds with one another. This ridiculous dictatorship song is the latest device to do that.
NEVER TRUST A TORY.

Kids have always been preached to at school, I bet you had a nativity play at school?

Do you not think that this country needs to pull together more than ever now? Was the flag-waving after the wars wrong then, the kids were impressionable during those times.

Are you happy for Krankie Sturgeon to split the union with her constant preaching?

Come on mate, remember your welsh roots, they will be off soon too.

Ooh, baby
Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad
Happy or sad
Ooh, ooh, yeah
Whether times are good or bad
Happy or sad

Please go and see a specialist, you are really embarrasing yourself yet again.
Don't forget to take your flag.

Saying our country is great is hardly preaching though.

The issue really lies with you and others feeling it's a political movement. It is a self-preservation movement and a togetherness movement, nothing else.

Subliminal preaching goes on all the time, take social media and all those twatter posters, Facebook friends preached during Brexit and hate speech towards Boris and Matt Hancock is constant.

It's all preaching should all preaching stop because kids see this stuff?

It’s complete bollocks pushed out my Boris and the other idiots to try and get the gullible to somehow ignore what bunch of pricks they are.

Thank you. It’s good to have some actual facts although a lot of people are enjoying their fact free outrage.

Thank you, but it's still a steaming pile of misplaced nationalist dog turd looking back at a golden age that never existed inside the deranged mind of a 1970s (retired on medical grounds) ex-army officer who thinks the Communists have infiltrated the Post Office and John Craven is passing subliminal anti-capitalist misinformation via a funny tortoise story on Newsround.

I'm sure you are old enough to remember these flag waving loonies in the 1970s and society laughed at them then.

It is a self-preservation movement.

Which says more about you than it does about them. If I was you I'd get into pickling, move to the mountains and buy yourself a rifle.

You'll find a number of other self inclined patriots on Facebook.

Good Luck

The department of re-education demand your participation in these matters

The children of the nation must rise as one

With flags

...with flags... and guns

The great nation shall rise, rise again and conquer all.

The future is ours brave patriots.

It’s a song. I don’t care either way and nor will the kids as they get half an hour off lessons and take the piss. I’m glad you got that off your chest though.

A despot does not require his subjects to believe in the cause, just that they obey.

The Tory's know the song is a load of bollocks. The children and teachers know it's a load of bollocks. Let's not add to the Kafkaesque twattery by actually singing it, in jest or otherwise.
