Yesterday Corbyn was in Bristol - his rally was was reported in the Guardian (regarded as a 'sympathetic' newspaper) as as less than two thousand, lacking energy with Corbyn looking tired and resigned to defeat.

Looks a lot bigger than that to me - and I think they may have got the characterisation of Corbyn wrong as well.

I'm still a bit undecided about my vote direction this coming Thursday.

I've obviously taken into consideration what I consider to be the following swaying points on the two main parties.

So what you are telling us is that without any first hand knowledge of your own, you have taken the word of one employee who has lost his/her job over another - and it happens to fit in your 'world view' that it is 'nothing to do with Brexit'.... Really?

Are you really naïve enough to believe that nothing will ever be blamed on Brexit that actually has nothing to do with Brexit at all? 'Brexit' will become commonly used as an excuse for anything that goes wrong (if it hasn't been already) regardless of whether brexit is actually the reason. It'll be the 'goto' excuse for all manner of failure.

(That doesn't mean that some things won't be caused by Brexit - of course some outcomes will be due to Brexit. But not every outcome that will be cited as 'caused by Brexit'.)

No, you were not being curious. You were being exactly as you always are. Go spill some more blood, and don't pretend you actually give a toss.

Even here, you have to bring Brexit into it. Pfft.

I didn't actually bring Brexit into it, the poster did.

I will try to be sincere to you then Orange boy.

Please don't hate me as I don't know what I will do.

You hating me will just about destroy us as a couple and that memory of the weekend in Torquay in your VW camper.
We absolutely wrecked your dampers that night.

Just give me one more chance pith boy, this could all end up as unrepairable segmentation and never to taste your sharp juices again.

We’ll see. I’d happily wager money on Kyle getting re-elected on a large local vote, Labour getting heavily beaten nationwide and Corbyn clinging on like a twitching corpse. In fact I’ll probably shove a few quid on both before Thursday

How does a Green know what’s going on in Labour anyway? I thought you *didn’t* support Labour?

I support many of the aspirations of the labour party which they share with the Greens as part of the progressive democratic left. I see the Bernie Sanders/AOC wing of the Democratic Party and the Greens in the USA as part of the same movement. Anti imperialist, anti-racist, democratic socialist, anti neo-liberal. The Blairite wing of the labour party seems almost indistinguisable to me from the corporate democrats in thr USA, and many in the Lib Dem, and left of the Tory Party. They seem mainly self serving, corrupt, and work hand-in -glove with the military industrial complex and big finance.

I agree with you - except for the Greens - when push comes to shove they will implement Tory policies - just like they did as part of a coalition government in Ireland in 2007-11 (and in many other parts of Europe) - and in Ireland they are now promising to go back into coalition again if they get enough seats, to implement more of the same.

I am a socialist and an internationalist - I have far more in common with working class people in Brighton and the rest of Britain than I do with Irish Tories - I campaigned and fund-raised for the miners strike in the 1980s - I took part in anti-poll tax marches - and as late as this summer I was assisting socialists in Britain fighting for socialist policies against the onslaught by the Tories against working class people in Britain.

Do you distribute the Socialist Worker ?

So more people voted for Kyle than the ex-copper in 2015. Then even more people voted for Kyle in 2017 instead of the bible bashing Tory nutter. Oh how bad is democracy !!!!!!! Kyle gets elected because he's good for his constituency. And that comes from someone that has voted right wing more times than left wing. I just wish he was standing as an Independent. The fact that the left wing morons of Momentum don't like him makes me wonder if they actually have the best interests of Hove and Portslade at heart ..... I suggest they don't.

Correct. If he was an independent I’d vote for him.

-the recently departed manager of Brighton is Irish

I don't read the morning star - I talk to socialists who live in Brighton - and Kyle has hardly hidden his anti-Corbyn views or his pro-EU neo-liberal views. While he might be a decent guy on a personal level, his political actions are those of someone who is interested in building a lucrative political career on the pro-big business pro-EU imperialist wing of British politics.

He’s also English and Ghanaian ,

And your description of Kyle is why he’s electable!

Really? Well, see you later, hopefully after you have recognised how silly and partial your comments are.......

I didnt know that about their allegiences in Ireland. The Green detailed policies seem really good. If they joined the Tories here they of course lose my vote. I suppose things can get a bit muddier with the need for coalitions under PR.

You seem to be stuck in your own verbosity and your powers of interpretation are clouded by your rabid, Brexit-supporting perspective.
Have another go at reading what I wrote and come back to me if you need more help in comprehending it.....

Very well, you're right, I apologise.

However the obsession over one incorrect detail and ignoring the very obvious and indisputable fact that food bank usage has soared in the last nine and a half years simply serves to get them off the hook.

Fair play for apologizing but the point I was making is that by stating a quite misleading incorrect detail it plays into the hands of the Tories who are lying hand over fist. Basically, don't let our side sink to their levels. Quoting the actual rise in use of food banks will still hammer home the point.
