That seems like quite a lot.

Apparently in Canada one professional tree planter can plant 1,600 trees in a day. So that's just over 300 full time jobs for the next 20 years if replicated here. Alternatively it also works out as everyone in the country planting just 2 trees per person, per year, for the next 2 decades.

The Turkish Government earlier this month had a plan to plant 11 million trees just in a single day, India apparently planted 50 million trees just in the state of Uttar Pradesh in 2016 and Ethiopia had a plan to plant 350 million trees in single day earlier this year as well.

The space required would be a logistical challenge on this, but I ultimately do appreciate from the comments following your post above that sneering at Labour's plans and posting up pictures of Diane Abbott and Jeremy Corbyn is much more important than actually being bothered about climate change and trying to do something about it.

Ironically today they announced they had underestimated the number of original Labour leave voters in the North who are likely to vote Tory, so much so they are u turning on their original election plan in order to re engage with these voters [emoji23]

straight to top of the tree planting league. vote winner for sure. this will be how they solve unemployment from sutting down industry to hit zero carbon targets. our economy will be based on forestry.

The manifesto giveaway bonanza didn't have the desired effect and car crash Tuesday has further derailed their election planning. Not sure how they are going to reconnect with Northern Leave voters with a second referendum Remain/ or might as well remain offer.
