I've been to Casa Don Carlos many times and it's been superb everytime.

Moshi Moshi is also fantastic

For a city the size of Brighton it seems there is a massive dearth of top notch restaurants.

Casa Don Carlo is the best tapas place in Brighton without a doubt and my personal favourite restaurant.

Other than that Blanch House, Sams (One Paston Place) and La Marinade in Kemp Town are first rate if you want to splash out. Due South and the Gingerman in central Brighton are also excellent.

Pompoko? :lolol:lolol:lolol:

Errm Notters?

Excellent, ridiculously fast service
Insanely cheap food
Lovely tasting

Sabai. Proper Thai food.

Went to go there with the lil lady the night they were opening after refurbs, unfortunately didn't get to eat. Is it good? We've been looking for a good thai place.

Depends what you take into account, if you take cost into account probably Jamie's Italian.

If your not that concerned about price, Graze, Meadow, Terre a Terre and the Gingerman are all great.

It can't be proper thai food if it's not too hot for you

It was, but it was f***ing tasty with it.

Big up Bom Banes too (as mentioned by Mr Banana). What with their crazy tables and singing staff, probably the friendliest gaff in town. Oh and the husband of the host plays with Arthur Brown and accompanies the singing staff on the fiddle every now and again. They sang Happy Birthday for me once. WICKED place. If you like bangers and stoemp then get there now.

I do like to read these food snob threads, they make me laugh.
Although anyone who describes themslelf as a "foodie" needs clubbing to death with a rolling pin.

Get yerself down the Brighton Wok!

What is recognised as the best these days?
Trying to find an answer on previous threads. TLO waxes lyrical about Casa Don Carlos and Jamies's is mentioned. Which others?

Whereever you decide to go If you look at my signature you will all save yourself some money in exploring the many restaurants in brighton.

Apart from the advert, seriously with The Argus, MSE.com, to name but two others doing restaurant deals does anyone still pay full price for a meal these days?
