In other snow news, 30 US states are about to experience the coldest and snowiest storm storm since 2011. More than 2’ of snow forecast for Kansas to Delaware.
For a moment, I read that as two inches, and thought "Is that IT?"

I’ve looked at the MO for Shoreham/wedndesday and there’s a definite chance ….personally hope it doesn’t hang around

Tediously rainy Shoreham on those days = a winter wonderland in Withdean, Westdene, Devil’s Dyke and Ditchling Beacon. My kids saw up to 28cm of settled snow at home, a stack of school closures, they loved it.

BBC ‘Weather Watcher’ pic of a car negotiating flood water on the BBC website today.

The person who submitted it did a fine job obscuring the number plate for reasons of privacy, presumably. Shame they didn’t notice the reflection in the water...

A friend in Crowborough just sent me a pic of it snowing & settling on cars. Just started.
We had 20-25ish minutes of heavy-ish snow just before 9 and it did settle on the roads and paths. But then the sun came out and anything the sun has touched it has pretty much all gone....however the sun has disappeared now and the sky is very white again so there could be some more on the way.

Looks like I timed my dog walk to perfection.
