So that was the snow of the winter of 2012-13, a pretty good show I think, not quite 2010-11 but a fair way better than 2011-12. Thanks to Papa as ever, top forecasting, can I suggest that you put yourself forward to forecast for WSCC and ESCC and advise them when to grit the roads as they clearly are looking at and listening to the BBC not your good self!!!

A lesson I learned a couple of years ago, never listen to the BBC forecast. Net weather seems to be very acurate for Worthing for some reason. met check not too shabby either. But BBC, generally dreadful.

Over the last 4 or 5 years they keep under estimating snow for much of Sussex and the Brighton area.
For example, they give the temp and sleet forecast based on the city centre/seafront (centre of population I guess), whereas once you head slightly north eg Hove Rec and beyond, we have had a dozen instances of settled snow, often far greater than forecast.

2cm in Western Road Brighton, being several times that in Brighton's northern suburbs and just about everywhere else.

Quite surprised how much of it had gone on the way home. I would assume that's it now for this winter (although it is spring)!

Worthing
Just braved the cold weather to go to Worthing Leisure Centre to discover it had closed at 1700 because of the weather.

We aren't finished in BN22 !!

Light snow currently falling and giving the ground a light dusting......falling on ice too. Dangerous.
