Confirms that we're going to be ok for tomorrow, as we're in the milder zone..

The latest seems to show Saturday as a drier day with possibly sleet before (Friday) and rain after (Saturday night). It will be less cold, but not necessarily warm.

I think I got this pretty much spot on, at least based upon the latest forecast.

If anything Saturday is looked nicer, with blue skies, and temps of up to 8c.. I think only a light summer jacket will be needed on Saturday.

It really is the decent filling in a wet sandwich though, as Friday night and Saturday night will both be wet, so expect to have to jump the puddles on the steps over the railway line at Falmer as per usual.

Major snow up in Leeds, started late afternoon and has been coming down hard ever since, maybe 2 inches so far but still falling heavily and well below zero locally.

It's throwing it down in west brom rain that is despite BBC weather forecast just few minutes ago warning of heavy snow!! It's raining and snow no ground almost all gone!!

Bbc were correct and rain, NOT snow hits Withdean.

The snow speculation for the South Downs was bull.

Sadly, that will melt and wash away the still several inches of pristine white snow in our back garden.

Brilliant news. I can go back to playing sport at the weekends again instead of it being ruined by snow. Not to mention have my bins collected regularly and not have to worry about the nightmare of getting trains to work.
