Thanks everyone for their help on the late drama. Woke up about 6.30 thinking of the mess that was left and how it would be dealt with

Managed to get a trophy to present to the teams, but no medals

Will have to improvise for top scorer and best keper awards

Sure it will be fine, although going past Preston Park on the way back from Withdean, I couldnt see the pitches had been marked out.

Disater may be averted with the use of cones to mark out the pitches and chocolate buttons replacing medals

Cheers to the entire organisational committee and to everyone who played for ensuring a bloody good fun day, and thank you to all of my team for giving your best even if results didn't entirely go our way

Mind you, we did win half the prizes in the raffle, and surely some flair points for the goalkeeping combination of a sleeveless top and elbowpads (as a result of the wearing of which, I now have pink upper and forearms through sunburn, but bright white elbows).
