I’m often surprised more people don’t walk from Lewes or Brighton, at least one direction to or from the ground.
I walk to the ground. Takes, on average, 1hr 15m at a comfortable pace. I can reduce this by 15 minutes in the warmer months, as the path across Hollingbury golf course and alongside Wild Park isn't muddy and/or slippery. It's not an option for everyone, but suits me fine.

Nothing shown/shared could make you personally identifiable so it's legally okay.

I think we can assume that the club didn't want any of the data in the public domain though, hence the video being pulled last night.

I mean, it doesn't look good on the club - not fixing the transport issues, that is.
Don't know legally where the would stand but I could imagine someone who lives not that nearby could end up with a conversation with as:

"You told me you gave up your season ticket, why does this map suggest someone in our remote Scottish village has one?".

I am still mystified as to why that some people are think the club are responsible for ferrying fans to and from the Amex every week, and that they have the power to actually do so.

I thought the tone was about encouraging cycling, improved public transport, and ride-sharing. The public transport part was mostly about a need for improved public transport generally highlighting areas that are poorly served. The cycling (and walking) paid not much concern to the environment or the (as noted in season ticket pricing discussions) age profile of the STHs. Ride-sharing is however something the club could encourage.

I agree with you regarding the contents of the video, I was just referring to the constant calls for the club to sort out our utterly awful transport infrastructure.

Re the ride-share, that is interesting. I have no idea about the logistics of sorting something out but maybe the Albion could set up a ride-share register or matching service to encourage people to participate. Maybe a website where STH can even offer or seek a car-share, could ease the financial pressure for some.

It's to the benefit of the team to keep bums on seats until the end of matches.

Local transport is included in ticket price - and isn't very good.

Park 'n' ride has got worse.

I have a rat bike I take there that I can "afford " to lose. No way would i risk a decent bike there sadly, though I do see some lovely bikes some brave souls have locked up. I'd be interested to hear if anything has actually been pinched, but I am paranoid when locking up locally.

One bloke had his bike pinched outside the Evening Star when he stopped to celebrate a successful round the world bike ride a couple of months back! He said by the time he'd got his drink it had already gone, panniers included!
An employee had a new e-bike (£8.5k apparently, WTAF) stolen from the work bike rack (covered, with stands to lock the bike to) last week.

“The company should pay. It was on company property”.
“Was it insured?”
“No”
“Did you lock it?”
“No”
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m very sorry that your bike got nicked. But I think we’re done here, aren’t we?”
“I guess so”

From the Level to the Amex is almost exactly 5k. Google reckons an hour and 12 to walk. Back in the day I could have run it in 22 minutes but I would have smelled terrible during the game - although I'd have been a lot less pissed.
How many pubs are in that route? Suspect it would take our little chew a lot longer than 1hour 12

The dull part of the south coast
It proves when I have correctly stated to the blinkered on here a huge amount of our fan base doesn’t live anywhere near Brighton and have little interest in doing so.
’cos it’s bloody expensive! My three bedroom large semi with front and back garden would be the same value as a decent one bedroom flat in B&H. I would love to move back but it ain’t gonna happen.

I feel like I need to touch wood saying this but I reckon it's got to be one or the safest places around to chain a bike up. Would imagine there's some of the stewards/police/rail staff around throughout the match.

I certainly don't stress about leaving my pretty decent mountain bike locked up at the Amex.

Car share requires the cars to be parked somewhere; only the racecourse regularly has space and more people would require more buses.

Maybe they mean car-sharing, then walking - but where are the cars going? And how to prevent those not sharing from parking there?

Local transport is difficult sometimes and fine most times. Its pretty good given the job is getting 30,000 people away from a stadium in the space of 1-2 hours. And pretty good compared to other stadiums who try and do this.

theres car parking space if you go via Lewes and then do the last leg on train.

I think for the most part the traveling is ok, but like any service at peak times is going to casue a backlog.

Mill Hill is ok for the most part, but weekend games i like to have a few drinks so to get home i am limited to trains or an incredibly long bus ride into town then back out again.

I would like a direct bus to/from the ground to Sainsbury West Hove, no park n ride just the bus.

Then I'd make my own way way from there.

I'd imagine even train people would consider it to cut out the queues at the ground, then again at Brighton.

Didn't lock it? I put two locks on if I am anywhere remotely high risk! And I am still surprised when it's still there after a coffee!

An excellent attitude. Unfortunately my over pessimistic attitude doesn't really let me do this, despite as you correctly say a very low risk environment!

I think car shares would have to get preferential treatment, because I agree, it's bloody hard to park without turning up mega early for P&R, which means arriving 2 hours before kick off and that means (for me) leaving home 5 hours before kick off. My choice to live in Dorset, but if the club want to reduce mileage, there need to be some incentives.
