Absolutely, and I’m lucky to be physically able to do so. I’m sure others could too though. If I walk back to Lewes via the dual carriageway it’s often pretty much only me and anyone I’m walking with, if I go over the hills I often don’t see a single other person between Black Cap and The Swan in Falmer.

Walking from Brighton isn’t much busier on the pavement. Out of 30,000 people I just find it surprising. I’ve said before, but when the weather is nicer I’ll see if anyone on here wants to join for the hill stroll. It’s a fantastic way to get to the ground.
Is there a footpath back to Lewes? How long does that take?

I found it interesting that from Bognor it takes over 1hr 45mins to get to the Amex using the train.

It makes me think that it would probably be helpful to create some kind of car share information site.

Interesting analysis, but on the cycling analysis, I suspect a lot are deterred by the hills. Unless you live in the Lewes Road valley or on the seafront, you've got a steep hill to get up before getting home. I'm going up one of them all the time and you get used to it but it's not for all. Ebikes make it easier, but there isn't secure parking at the Amex is there?

From the Level to the Amex is almost exactly 5k. Google reckons an hour and 12 to walk. Back in the day I could have run it in 22 minutes but I would have smelled terrible during the game - although I'd have been a lot less pissed.
His methodology for walking was far too short. Woodingdean wasn't classed as walkable but I can barely make it down the cycle lane as so many people use the shared path down from Woodingdean- especially for daylight kick offs and in good weather.

He also has ignored topography and safe route for cycling if he thinks anyone is going to cycle from Ditchling or Plumpton over to Falmer without drugs!

Nevertheless, interesting at the car-share could take off- like Bla-Bla car on the continent which my son swears by!

We sometimes walk to Lewes from Brighton as the rail option is less frenzied and we like the pubs!
The Juggs road runs from the Racecourse behind Woodingdean and over to Lewes- and vice versa. There is a shared path from Woodingdean down to Falmer. Quicker than the Park and Ride if you miss the first round of buses back to the Racecourse.

There were three around Belfast and another in central Ireland!
Perhaps some of our season ticket holders have registered from their Second Homes ???
Possibly for Tax purposes?
After all, we are the most modern of clubs, with the most sophisticated followers

I come from BN8 or North Chailey. Leave when players go off pitch (if we win), on final whistle if we lose,, go by train to Lewes, (and then car from there) . And in 13 years i have rarely - once a season at most - not been back in N.Chailey within an hour/70 mins and sometimes before. Pretty much Walked straight onto a train after Chelsea on Saturday night. (left after final whistle)
I know its not easy for some matches - going further West or East - and going to Brighton etc. Sometimes the club have found replacement buses , Its a pain in the queue sometimes, and often cold/wet etc. - But there you go.
The Chelsea game was a weird one. I had a swift pint then walked straight onto the Lewes platform afterwards. Much quieter than a normal night game.

I’m often surprised more people don’t walk from Lewes or Brighton, at least one direction to or from the ground. Some days it’s definitely quicker than queuing for a train or bus I’m sure.
I've walked home a few times when I really didn't want to queue. But it was never any quicker than having 2 or 3 pints and hopping on bus without queuing.
