[Travel] STH postcodes and Travel to the Amex

Interesting analysis, but on the cycling analysis, I suspect a lot are deterred by the hills. Unless you live in the Lewes Road valley or on the seafront, you've got a steep hill to get up before getting home. I'm going up one of them all the time and you get used to it but it's not for all. Ebikes make it easier, but there isn't secure parking at the Amex is there?
I have a rat bike I take there that I can "afford " to lose. No way would i risk a decent bike there sadly, though I do see some lovely bikes some brave souls have locked up. I'd be interested to hear if anything has actually been pinched, but I am paranoid when locking up locally.

One bloke had his bike pinched outside the Evening Star when he stopped to celebrate a successful round the world bike ride a couple of months back! He said by the time he'd got his drink it had already gone, panniers included!

Can't access the video, seems to have been made private.

STH with my 9 year old son, we live in Bedfordshire - from the screen shot it looked like a few others are this way

Is there a footpath back to Lewes? How long does that take?
Along the road? There’s a path all the way shared with cyclists, I can do it from Lewes Prison to my seat in West Upper in about an hour and a half, my best being an hour when I finished work late. Over the hills there’s also a path the whole way. I like to take my time so allow 2 hours or a little more going that way.

Much nicer over the hills, but much slower than the horrible noisy pavement next to the A27. Nice on a full moon, a bit muddy in a few places at the moment!

It proves when I have correctly stated to the blinkered on here a huge amount of our fan base doesn’t live anywhere near Brighton and have little interest in doing so.

Nope, not a fresh data harvest but something I found earlier

Will watch later but a good 10 mins of analysis for those of you interested.

How many of you are the remote singular dots on the map?

I scanned first two pages and didn’t see it posted elsewhere 👍🏻

The video has been removed (made private). Tsk!

Well, the anonymous data wasn't really anonymised enough, I imagine. Look how many people managed to pick themselves out.
I'm not sure I could conclude that I'm identifiable individually by knowing there is one STH in my postcode but I can see that it is 'location data' so may be caught. Does making the video private help though as the data is still held and processed? Do the STH Ts&C's permit BHA to share data with 'partners'?

And yes I did pretty much out myself!

Very surprised this sort of data is allowed out in the day and age of GDPR.
Nothing shown/shared could make you personally identifiable so it's legally okay.

I think we can assume that the club didn't want any of the data in the public domain though, hence the video being pulled last night.

I mean, it doesn't look good on the club - not fixing the transport issues, that is.

I’m often surprised more people don’t walk from Lewes or Brighton, at least one direction to or from the ground. Some days it’s definitely quicker than queuing for a train or bus I’m sure.
When I lived in Hove, opposite Hove rec, I used to walk to the Amex. It took 90 minutes (which I felt was neatly appropriate). I was in complete control of the time I'd arrive, so could time it so that I had a nice drinking period before the match. No traffic worries, no parking issues.
After the game, I'd have a few Harvey's on the concourse, to let the train queues go down.

Now Ive moved out to a village in West Sussex, I rely on a coach to take me to and from the game. Given that it picks me up in the high street just yards from my house I cant complain, but I have no time after the match to "celebrate" , and have little control over what time I'll arrive beforehand.

I used to enjoy the 90 minute walk. It was sometimes the most enjoyable 90 minutes of the day.
