Reminds me of Jakarta where it used to be mandatory for cars to be 3 up to enter the city at rush hour. And crowds of street kids available for hire to fulfill the legal requirement....

Absolutely, and I’m lucky to be physically able to do so. I’m sure others could too though. If I walk back to Lewes via the dual carriageway it’s often pretty much only me and anyone I’m walking with, if I go over the hills I often don’t see a single other person between Black Cap and The Swan in Falmer.

Walking from Brighton isn’t much busier on the pavement. Out of 30,000 people I just find it surprising. I’ve said before, but when the weather is nicer I’ll see if anyone on here wants to join for the hill stroll. It’s a fantastic way to get to the ground.

I come from BN8 or North Chailey. Leave when players go off pitch (if we win), on final whistle if we lose,, go by train to Lewes, (and then car from there) . And in 13 years i have rarely - once a season at most - not been back in N.Chailey within an hour/70 mins and sometimes before. Pretty much Walked straight onto a train after Chelsea on Saturday night. (left after final whistle)
I know its not easy for some matches - going further West or East - and going to Brighton etc. Sometimes the club have found replacement buses , Its a pain in the queue sometimes, and often cold/wet etc. - But there you go.

Agree that that map is mad and shows you how dedicated football fans are. And makes you realise why we weren't all delighted at Saturday's 8pm kick off.
