Just far enough away from LDC
Minimum term of 52 years, is this judge on f***ing crack? Should be 152 years. There should be absolutely zero chance of this **** getting out, ever. He would only be 70. Those families need to know 100% that he's never leaving prison. This sentance doesn't deliver that.
It's a minimum of 52 years. In practice it will be a whole life term

Restricted by the law. Worth listening to his speech where he explains it all in great detail

He will kill again inside or out thankfully in 52 years time I won't be around . Personally I'm glad I won't be
He won’t be killing anybody inside and he’ll be everyone’s target when they can get access to him. They really don’t like people who harm children. Like, at all.

This is a coward who deliberately targeted young girls because they were weaker. He will be bending the knee before hardened cons.

He won’t get near any other cons for years

It’s most unsettling to realise there are people out there who can envisage, plan and then go through with something like this.
This person is as evil as it gets.

It's 52 years before he can even apply to go before a parole board, He'll never get parole.

As I said above, I think the state should execute this prisoner.

In 52 years who knows what could happen - there could be some circumstance in which he gets out. Much better to end that risk now.

He was under 18 at the time of the murders. Legally classified as a child. So it wouldn't have applied anyway.

Murder doesn’t solve murder, nor does it deter.

He won’t even be considered for parole.

It would save a few quid though . The tax payer will fund every one of those 52 years.

These life without parol sentences, once extremely rare, are coming think and fast these days seemingly. Feels the nature and frequency of such crimes is rising, what on earth is going on in our society to nurture such evil? We seemingly have child murderers every week now when decades ago there was only ever Mary Bell. Is it the Internet? Violent Games? Films? Parental abstinence? Community erosion? Drugs? Multi-Culturism?

Also, and I had to replay but did hear correctly, the judge mis-announced the sentence. He said "a minimum sentence of 51 days and 190 days." What a gaff, and he didn't seem to notice / correct himself.

I totally agree. I can't fathom it in this instance, I really can't. It was completely shocking listening to the judge's summation. The level of planning, what he wanted to further inflict with e.g. Ricin.

Absolutely barbaric.

Yes, we noticed that.
