They only seem daft to you because you are fixated with the priveledge of being able to smack a child. Anything that might shine a bit of light on that narrow minded method is rejected outright as daft. You just see it as your right and you can do it when you deem it necessary. When you deem it necessary to inflict pain on another person, another person who is smaller, weaker and esily confused, you do it.

Inflicting pain?

You are still coming at this from a much more violent perspective that Easy is talking about. I don't think he's talking about the buckle end of a belt strap, or a riding crop.

My PE teacher at Junior school used to dish out a smack across the arse, or even have you bend over and he'd kick you up the arse. It wasn't pain, it was embarrassment, that's what made you listen to him the next time.

:bigwave:

Yeah, fair enough. Why didn't anyone else think of the old "just declare myself the winner" ploy and leg it.

No, fair dos that settles it. You should be a defence lawyer, I bet that the High Court works in almost EXACTLY the same way.

You have no idea. Seriously, you clearly have NO idea.
FIXATED ? What the hell are you on ? My daughter is 16 years old. Never in her life have I smacked her. I have a 12 year old son who I smacked once on his bum, two years ago, when he was brought home by a policeman for playing with his friend next to a railway line (after climbing through a hole in the fence).

I was HORRIFIED that he had done this, and was only relieved I wasn;t identifying what was left of him in a body bag. He had been told time and again never to go near railway lines before (as we live quite near one), yet when it came to it with his mate, he did it. Smacked arse, grounded for a week, and he knows damn well never to do that again.

If thats FIXATED then f*** you, and f*** the horse you rode in on.

brief return.

In all seriousness what is the point in debating with you. Those who agree on corporal punishment will always defend their actions and any point I make is called daft, I'm called a **** and told to f*** myself. Why would i bother sticking on this thread to be mocked by a bunch of buffoons talking about debate when they don't know the meaning of the word?

FIXATED ?

To be 100% fair, your good lady wife has mentioned you do like a good smack from her. If she comes hope to find you wearing the wetsuit with the arse cut, and the gimp mask, you're straight over her knee and no complaints.

Well done Bozza and rusthole, you win. I am a bad man.

I know it was not worth trawling through this thread .............................

Parental smacks are mainly done for the shock tactic. The message is this is a line not to be crossed. It is different from a reasoned discussion about whether they should eat their greens.

It is not battering a child - that is abuse.

Every point you've made has been completely out of context. It's been a laugh reading some of the drivel you've posted though, it's made a dull friday that tiny bit more interesting.

Yes I can see how "I don't agree with smacking children" would seem out of context on a thread posing the question do you agree with smacking children.

Does it hurt?
