Islamic terrorists/fighters attacked the concert. No one of any note is claiming otherwise. A legacy of atrocities in bitter wars in the Caucasus, victims especially if religious fanatics will never forgive n forget.

Don’t fall for online gossip or make up your own.

Dimitri Medvedev is not no one. I appreciate that he said 'if' and he may be forced to back down, but it's still noteworthy that he trotted the BS out immediately, despite it looking like it was nothing to do with Ukraine.

Medvedev is just point scoring. A wretched thing to do seeing as the US passed on intelligence about a planned attack to Moscow.

“The BBC’s US news partner CBS has spoken to a source familiar with the intelligence, who says there has been a steady stream of information - dating back to November - about IS wanting to strike in Russia.

Some highly specific information was passed on to the Russian government, despite the frosty relations between Washington and Moscow.” BBC

BBC reporting that Russian officials are linking the attack to Ukraine:

The piece posted at 4.04am further down the article is also worth a read. Russians eh?
Of course, ISIS feeing across the only available border made porous by the conflict has nothing to do with Putin intervening in the civil war in Syria in 2015 to support al-Assad against Syrian rebels and non-government forces including ISIS. ISIS has had Russia particularly in it’s radar since 2021 when the US left Afghanistan - even Russia would find it a stretch to claim Ukraine was linked to the attack when ISIS has claimed responsibility.

Russia doesn’t need evidence. It just needs to up the propaganda and their docile population (plus a load of helpful western shills) will lap it up.

Death toll risen to at least 115. (BBC)
As much as I cannot stand Russia or many Russians due to their sick imperialist fantasies.

Do recognise they are living a Truman show type existence, poisoned from every information source by lies and narratives. They need help and freeing from that toxic brain washing.

No innocent civillian should be murdered, not in Moscow, Mariupol or Melitopol

This could be the catalyst for a rapid escalation.

Putin doubles down on the attacks. The west cannot stand by and do as little as we can get away with. Putin gets what he wants.

I completely agree.

I still find it hard to get my head round their Truman show existence in today's connected, globalised world.

It has to crumble eventually, surely? The millions of exiled Russians need to play their part.

He's not yet saying outright "Ukraine did it", but he's laying the groundwork..... "if it turns out Ukraine did it......."

tbh even if it was a genuine ISIS type attack (though timing as mobilisation is announced is well suspicious), I still wouldn't be surprised if the Kremlin tried to still spin it that they were hired by Ukraine.

The least likely scenario is they admit it was just Islamic extremists, we were not prepared and they escaped.

We'll find out soon enough but some form of blame on Ukraine seems most likely? It feeds the wider propaganda narrative.

So long as the FSB can blame Ukraine...they believe it absolves them from their total incompetence at both preventing and responding to this attack.

But will the exiled Russians care?most of them not, I suspect. They will be building their new lives in the 'west,' and won't want to return.
The older their generations, the more brainwashed...it would take a while for their mindset to recover some normality (as we know it) ... maybe take one or two generations under inspired leadership. We shouldn't hold our breath for it 😬.

When you click on link and it opens there is a translate post link under text.

It basically quotes "FSB say 4 terrorists were heading to Ukraine and have contacts there"

Same as this (in English)

Thanks. So, four random Ukrainians (possibly Moslems?) living in Russia have been rounded up to be scapegoats. Well done FSB - it's not every security force that can find unwilling victims that quickly!
