Day 1047 of Putin's three day war.

I wonder if, in a private moment, it has ever crossed his mind that the reason it has turned out to be the disaster that it is, is all his own fault?

Shandong Port Group has banned U.S.-sanctioned tankers from calling into its ports in the eastern Chinese province, home to many independent refiners that are the biggest importers of oil from countries under U.S. embargo

...The active shadow fleet transporting Iranian, Russian and Venezuelan oil is estimated at about 669 tankers...
...Of that total, 250-300 tankers were typically involved in shipping Russian oil

Good news. The power of US sanctions. Strangle Russia's economy still further, but at arms length.

I would like to think this is due to Trump's incoming administration, but I don't know that it is.

A reminder (I know, we don't need it) of Russian scorched earth process....

All of it brutal, unlawful, unjustified, based on inaccurate, concocted evidence and an inflated, arrogant view of Russia's place in this world.
And all of it ultimately unsuccessful because whatever happens at the peace talks, the war has awakened the west to Russia's savagery.

I reckon Putin is behind all Trump's threats towards Denmark/Greenland and Panama.

If the US invades somewhere because of its strategic interests then the whataboutism writes itself about Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

I can't see anything other than Trump being Putin's puppet.

Sky News digest:

Russia has declared a state of emergency in Engels, where the fuel depot was attacked by Ukrainian drones.

If the US invades somewhere ...

Trump is just yelling nonsense before he is sworn in and becomes the actual president.

For instance, about 3 weeks ago he said he would tighten up the border with Canada and that Canada needs to do more to secure the border (US secures the border into the US FWIW), and that too many immigrants were sneaking in from Canada. Fast forward 3 weeks and now he is going to use the economy to make Canada become the 51st state... so no border and 40 million people get in....

So that's get Panama under US control, take over Greenland, and make Canada the 51st state.... he's not making real threats he's just slobbering over a microphone and keyboard
