According to Mush, civil war in the UK inevitable. Not sure what time it starts and which side I'm supposed to be on though?
Mush seems to be searching for relevance and attention since Trump gave him a job with zero authority...poor chap.
Indeed.... I've got lots of tin hats ready after reading Musk's tweets recently... I'd better hide under the stairs 😬

In Ukraine, the head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Loparev, head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhnegorsk district of the annexed Crimea, will be tried in absentia on charges of treason and collaboration.

"It has been established that since 2013 the accused has worked as the head of the sector for combating drug trafficking of the Belogorsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. However, after the occupation of the peninsula, he changed his oath and went over to the side of the enemy, taking the position of "deputy chief of police (for operational work) of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Belogorsky district", the Prosecutor's Office of the ARC reports.

According to the published report, the accused in August 2023 "law enforcement officer" voluntarily headed the occupation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nizhny Gorsk district, where he still works".

Seems very likely that SOMETHING will be initiated in Transnistria by Russia ...they are probably working overtime on their propaganda machine right now. The stash of weaponry there, plus possible conscripts (volunteers???) will be too tempting for them.

I'm not sure how the public there could be fooled into joining Russia in the war.

A Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilot set a record for shooting down enemy missiles during one of Russia's massive attacks on Ukraine. He destroyed 6 Russian cruise missiles in one combat flight, says Colonel Yurii Ihnat, head of the public relations service of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On December 13, 2024, Russians launched almost 200 drones and more than 90 different missiles at Ukraine. During such attacks, cruise missiles are the main target of the F-16.

According to Ihnat, the F-16 pilot initially used all four air-to-air missiles. Thus, he shot down four Russian cruise missiles. However, the pilot noticed another target and decided to use an aircraft cannon.

“Shooting down cruise missiles with a cannon is very risky because of the high speed of the target and the danger of detonation. But I did what the instructors in the US taught me, and I managed to hit it. As it turned out, 2 missiles flying next to each other were destroyed at the same time,” the pilot told Ihnat.

Ukrainian Air Force noted that this case is unique: for the first time in the world's history, an F-16 pilot destroyed 6 cruise missiles in one flight, 2 of them with an aircraft gun.

Same as in Crimea and Donbas? Put enough Russians in there that need to be 'rescued' from 'fascists'?

Crimea and the Donbas were attacked by Russia, on the pretence of, as you say, rescuing Russians. But they don't need to do that in Transnistria, they're already under Russian control. Instead, what's being talked about is asking those people in Transnistria to fight for Russian, and they'd have to do so without proper support from the motherland, because Russia is far away from Transnistria.

So why the hell would they want to fight? They're not under threat, so what's the point? The suggestion is that they're not getting gas, but fighting won't suddenly give them gas. The easiest way to get gas would be to ask Moldova for it.

Transnistria has been a thorn in the side for some time, including recent attempts to rig the Moldovan election. I think Russia already has a small number of troops (~5k) in Transnistria so Russia would probably want to encourage another front being opened, as a distraction, in another part of Ukraine. Though I’m not sure how much of a distraction it might be.

Difficult to see how Russia might come to the “rescue” of Transnistria given access can only be gained via Ukraine, Moldova or Romania

Awesome! Good to hear he'd had US instruction too 👍
So, Mr Trump...
- what are the rock solid security guarantees for Ukraine (the whole of it) for the next 20 years?
- any idea why the Baltics were desperate to join NATO?
- any idea why Finland and Sweden joined NATO..... Hmmmm

NATO membership is secondary... Russia wants to take back their old empire by force

Yes, the discussion here has made me do a bit of research.
As far as I can see there are no flights between Tiraspol and Russia, so, as you say, access only via Ukraine, Romania (and then Moldova).... maybe Russian helicopters up the border, just on the Romanian side? what would actually happen? then into or across (non NATO) Moldova.
Or something more subtle ?

He's impressed by the 'ability' to control a large population with an iron fist 🤔
He might just be making the right noises, so that the Russians enter into negotiations. If they refuse to participate at all, any peace talks are dead in the water before they begin. You will appreciate I'm looking on the bright side here.

A channel I've not seen before with some fpv drone footage showcasing the handling skills of the Ukrainian 'pilots'. Don't understand more than the odd word, but the commentary still had me chuckling
